Gaming is an integral part of many venues across Australia,

and is increasingly in the sights of regulators. To maintain

value for businesses, it is imperative to ensure that

revenue-drain is kept to a minimum, including the cost

of staff, time, security and shrinkage. Investing in technology that can

streamline your gaming cash management process can significantly

improve your profit margins, not to mention the security of your staff

and venue.

BANKTECH® are specialists in ATM and gaming cash management

technology for the gaming and hospitality industry and recommend

these products and technologies.

CASH REDEMPTION TERMINALSQuickPay® Cash Redemption Terminals provide a familiar self-serve

TITO, card or tag-based redemption or change breaking service for your

gaming patrons. These convenient functions reduce dependence on

staff and cash handling, keeping cash safely locked in a secure CEN-L

safe. Not only does this reduce shrinkage through theft or inaccuracies,

it could save on insurance premiums!

CASHIER ASSIST TERMINALSAutoPay® Cashier Assist Terminal is designed to streamline the gaming

payout process (tickets, card or line-of-sight) for over-the-counter

transactions. Fitting under-counter in the cashier’s booth, it protects

staff and secures your float by ensuring that cash can only be accessed

by staff when a valid ticket is scanned and authorised.

“In addition to enhancing venue security the AutoPay Cashier

Assist system has increased efficiencies resulting in better customer

service, reduced labour costs and simplified cash handling,” says Chris

Christou, Operations Manager at Zagame’s.

SECURE SMART-SAFE TECHNOLOGYTo securely manage all these cash services, DepositConnect®

smart-safe solution automates cash handling. Faster, more accurate

reconciliation can help achieve a ROI in just 12–16 months, making it

a sound investment.

SERVICE AND SUPPORTHaving all these services provided by one supplier is ideal, because

it allows you to consolidate billing and have one point of contact for

replenishment, maintenance and monitoring.

While there are a number of operators offering similar technology,

BANKTECH have a reputation as one of the industries most reliable.

Campbelltown Catholic Club have relied on BANKTECH

for a number of years and have found them to be “flexible and

understanding of the requirements of our businesses, in particular our

need to provide patrons with a facility that is functional and reliable,”

says Executive Manager Finance & Administration, Roger Cubitt.

“BANKTECH are very easy to work with and I have no hesitation in

recommending them.”

Panthers’ Group Glenn Wildsmith also found “BANKTECH’s

customer service group through their (24/7) helpdesk, service

technicians and their relationship manager to be impeccable, with

any issues resolved promptly and to a high standard.”

It is this end-to-end control of cash management services,

from patron through to reconciliation, which makes BANKTECH

an invaluable partner to many of Australia’s top gaming venues.

If you’d like to find out more about creating efficiencies

in your gaming operations, you can contact BANKTECH toll

The story of how James Squire became Australia’s first

brewer is a cracking yarn, and one we’re always keen

(and proud) to share. He led a life that would make any

man envious. It was a journey full of thievery, dishonesty

and above all flavour. Indeed, James Squire had an appetite to

taste it all.

From being a convict on the First Fleet, Squire turned his life

around and rose to become one of the governor’s guards, the father

of 11 children and, perhaps most significantly, the colony’s first

and most sought-after brewer. An impressive resume by anyone’s

standards, he lived enough life for several men.

When you think of craft beer a lot of things will come to mind

but for us at Squires, craft is simply about the creation of truly

great beer and great beer should possess an indefinable quality

that reflects the brewer’s art, its own culture and the culture of the

people who drink the beer. It is a space where brewers interpret the

infinite possibilities of ingredients and process to produce unique

beers. Craft is playing a crucial role today in attracting drinkers to

beer and that’s good for the category at large.

We have seen a growth in craft over the last couple of months

and we were also very proud to see. James Squires itself is 28 per

cent of the craft segment and growing at 19 per cent with 150 Lashes

leading the charge.

James Squire was a man of many talents. He was also a man

who had a lot of variety in his life. That variety today gives life to the

11 different styles in the Squires range to choose from. Whether it

is the summer sensation The Swindler, or the popular 150 Lashes,

there is a style to suit everyone in the Squire family.

But the variety doesn’t stop there. At James Squires, we also

have a variety of foods that match perfect with each of our styles.

Food paring has become a very popular platform in many venues

across the country and below are some of the great dishes that go

with our styles.

An Ideal Match

There are many more amazing recipes to be paired with the

James Squires range. Log onto www.jamessquire.com.au/food/

and discover the wonderful world of food pairing and why not get

inventive. Also have a look on our website and discover the story

of James Squire, some of the best craft spots in town and trends

around the world. ♣
