NHS TRACK AND TRACE SCAMA new telephone scam is coming to light .... callers contactresidents saying they are from NHS Track & Trace, tellingthe resident that they have been in contact with someonesuffering from Covid 19 and need to have a test sent out tothem. This is swiftly followed with a request for theresident's bank details; the caller states that the test andresults cost £500. Currently, coronavirus test kitsare provided by the NHS so they are thereforefree of charge.

The NHS Test and Trace service will NOT: Ask you for details of card or bank account numbers Ask you to set up a password or PIN number over thephone Ask you to provide or fill in social media login details Ask you to download anything Ask you to call a premium rate number, such as thosestarting 09 or 087

Scam text messages often encourage the recipient to click alink that redirects them to an unsecured website wherepersonal information may be stolen.

You will only ever be called from the number 0300 0135000, or you will be texted from “NHS”.

Would you like to help with research intogarden wildlife by joining The British Trustfor Ornithology’s Garden BirdWatch Survey.Gardens are really important habitats for wildlife, but we need to understand how and whypopulations of garden birds and other wildlifeare changing, and how we can help them. You can help by keeping a simple list and tellingus which species visit each week, helping uslearn about how wildlife uses the food, shelterand other resources in our gardens. The more we can understand about how birdsand animals use our gardens, the more we canimprove our cities, towns, villages and individualgardens for wildlife.

GROW LOCALThe 'Marches Grow Local'initiative has been started withthe help of ‘Tamar Grow Local’, avery successful community-runproject in Devon. They arecurrently in the exploration phaseto see if there’s a need and thedemand to help join up thepeople with spare land withthose who want to grow (or keepbees, or help others), with thosewho can teach best practice thatwill enhance our soil and increase biodiversity while alsohelping to sequester carbon, all in the aim of producing good, nutritious local food. The absolute key to this is that whateverwe create is there to support existing local producers and helpothers who want to become producers to do so.

QuestionnaireThe purpose of the questionnaire is to gain a deeperunderstanding of how our local Marches food systemoperates find out if there's the appetite here to create a similarfood network. The link for the questionnaire is:-https://survey.sogosurvey.com/r/fFIQyHor call Mike and Louise on 01588 640 520 for a paper copy.
