The Award requires one unit to be successfully completed.

Certificate A more extensive qualification, the Level 5 Certificate in Managementand Leadership gives you a broader knowledge of middle managementskills while focusing on the specific leadership areas appropriate to youand your workplace.

The Certificate requires two units to be successfully completed.

On enrolment of a unit you will become a studying member of CMI andgain access to a wide range of information and services that will help youwith your studies.

Programme Each unit will be delivered through five three-hour workshops at TheDome Enterprise Centre, on our Bognor Regis Campus.

Assessment will take place through practical work-based projects andassignments to ensure you spend as little time as possible away fromwork and carry out study that’s relevant to your organisation.

Unit 5020 Introduction to management and leadership By the end of this course learners will be able to demonstrate anunderstanding of: • The purpose and construction of a personal development plan • Data and information and their use in meeting stakeholder needs • Selection processes, performance development and team welfare

Unit 5006 Conducting a management project By the end of this course learners will be able to: • Identify and justify a management project • Conduct research using sources and analyse data and options • Make conclusions and recommendations that achieve the project aim • Show and review the results of the project

Wednesdays, 29th February – 28th March 2012, 4pm-7pm

Unit 5021 Operational risk management By the end of this course learners will be able to demonstrate anunderstanding of: • The concept of risk management • Identification of risk and risk probability • Management of risk response approaches

Tuesdays, 28th February – 27th March 2012, 4pm-7pm

Unit 5002 Information based decision making By the end of this course learners will be able to: • Identify and select sources of data and information • Analyse and present information to support decision making • Communicate the results of information analysis and decisions

Wednesdays, 18th April – 16th May 2012, 4pm-7pm
