Paying attention to these instructions can help you avoid danger, repair costs, and down time due to improper operation.It should be read and used by all people working with CMLIB A.In addition to the operations manual and the applicable regulations for accident prevention in the country and at the site of operation, the accepted technical procedures for safe and competent work should be heeded. CMLIB A6Safety instructionsBefore bringing CMLIB A into operation, please read carefully the following safety instructions.Without detailed knowledge of this information, it is not possible to bring CMLIB A into operation!CMLIB A should only be operated by trained personnel.Designated use CMLIB A should only be connected to SELV interfaces. Due to safety-relevant reasons, a connection with the front panel terminals of the CMC is not permitted. The 16 pin "CMC" interface should only be connected to the generator outputs of a CMC 156 (Gen. Out 7 - 12) or a CMC 256 (LL out 1 - 6). The 16 pin "Amplifier" interface should only be connected to an OMICRON amplifier, if a) the interface labelled "CMC" is connected to a CMC test set, orb) the analog signal inputs (BNC) are either not connected or applied with a defined signal level. CMLIB A should only be used when in a technically sound condition as well as when its use is in accordance with the regulations, in a safe manner, and mindful of the dangers while paying attention to the operations manual. In particular, avoid disruptions that could in turn affect safety! Do not operate CMLIB A under wet or moist conditions (condensation). Do not operate CMLIB A when explosive gas or vapors are present. CMLIB A should not be opened. If the device is opened, all guarantees are invalidated. CMLIB A89Function and Setup of CMLIB A1Function and Setup of CMLIB A1.1FunctionCMLIB A is a connection box for the usage with the analog low level outputs of the CMC or with the analog control inputs of the additional amplifiers CMA 156 and CMS 156. CMLIB A can also be connected between a CMC test set and an amplifier to additionally tab the signals.1.2Connection terminals and Interfaces1.2.1OverviewCMLIB A provides the following connection terminals: 16 pin "CMC" connection terminal to connect CMLIB A to the generator outputs of a CMC 156 (Gen. Out 7 - 12) or to a CMC 256 (LL out 1 - 6). 16 pin "Amplifier" connection terminal to connect CMLIB A to external amplifiers. 6 pcs. of BNC sockets to connect the analog signals.
