Earthing and Bonding System in viaduct

3. Earth electrode for Viaduct The viaduct is supported at regular interval by
piers. In each viaduct pier some dedicated
reinforcement rods are taken from the top to the
bottom of the pier. This acts as earth electrode for
the pier. This is connected to the viaduct segment
and parapets reinforcement rods .The same is
connected to BEC at an interval of 200 m
