Nonfiction March : Book One, Book Two and Book Three by John Lewis with Andrew Ayon and illustrated by Nate Powell. This black-and-white graphic novel trilogy account of the Civil Right Movement has won too many awards to list here.

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon. In this National Book Award finalist, a Korean-American teen and Jamaican girl fall in love in New York City. Get out your tissues.

Cici Reno #MiddleSchoolMatchmaker by Kristina Springer. Cici tries to connect her best friend with a guy at school by posing as her online. Her problem solving skills kick in when the plan goes awry.

Counting by 7s by Holly Goldberg Sloan. When Willow loses her parents in an accident, her journey to find and accept a new family leads her through unexpected turns.

Illuminae: The Illuminae Files _01 by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. This sophisticated sci-fi thriller comes alive in an unusual format—a dossier.

Award-Winning Audio Books (that are also amazing reads!) Anna and the Swallow Man by Gavriel Savit. This young adult historical novel takes place in Poland during World War II.

Echo by Pam Munoz Ryan. A magical harmonica weaves four stories into a novel celebrating the power of music and hope.

The Inquisitor's Tale Or, the Three Magical Children and Their Holy Dog by Adam Gidwitz, illuminated by Hatem Aly. This laugh-out-loud historical mystery takes place in Medieval France.
