To retain active Accreditation Coaches will need to be updated at least every 4 years at a USA or FIH course.

USA Field Hockey Level III ( High Performance)
USA Field Hockey Level III is the Highest Level of USA Field Hockey Coaching Accreditation
USA Field Hockey Level III Coaching accreditation is a pre requisite to FIH coaching course recommendation.
20 Hour Course with Theory, Practical and Impromptu Components
Participants will submit requests for theory and practical topics at least 3 months prior to the course. Assessors will confirm or allocate topics to participants at least 2 months prior to the course.
Presentation Paper in Theory and Practical outline to be Submitted 3 weeks prior to the Course.
Theory paper to be presented at the Level III course, a maximum of 15 minutes. A 5 minute Q & A from participants and the assessors will complete the theory assessment.
A 5 minute “Hot Seat” will follow the theory presentation for each participant. The “Hot Seat’ element is a situation presented to the participant without prior notice. The participant has 5 minutes to respond to and “flesh out” the situation.
There will be a 10 minute Practical presentation from each participant at the course.
Segments on Game Day Organization, Team Meeting Format, Technology in Coaching, Psychological Elements of High Performance, Periodization of Performance, Skill Acquisition and Team Playing Concepts will be aspects of the course.
All course participants will receive a Level III participation certificate from USA Field Hockey.
Successful participants will be awarded a USA Field Hockey Level III Coaching Accreditation and will be required as a Level II Presenter.
Assessors will recommend to USA Field Hockey candidates for FIH courses and Level II Assessors and Level III Presenters

2 hour Overview for Introductory level
How to organize and implement a TurfTykes program
Becoming familiar with the basic skill set required for TurfTykes
Pushing, Receiving and Ball Skill Fundamentals
Being aware of the drills and exercises used to develop the player’s ball and playing skills
NB. Ultimately have the USA Field Hockey Level 0 Coaching Accreditation being made available ‘online’.
