2 COACHING MANAGEMENT

The Orlando World Center Marriott hosts ABCA’s 62nd annual convention, January 4-7, 2007. Committee and division meetings, as well as exhibits, oficially open the convention on Thurs-day, Jan. 4.

Second Vice-President Steve Smith of Baylor University has arranged an out-standing speaker lineup for the ABCA clinics beginning on Friday morning. This group of quality clinicians includes Pat Casey, Head Coach of the NCAA Division I champion Oregon State Bea-vers; Terry Francona, Manager of the Boston Red Sox; and two-time National League MVP Dale Murphy.

In the exhibit hall, more than 280 com-panies are expected to display state-of-the-art equipment including new coaching aids, apparel, batting and pitching machines, as well as numerous new products being displayed for the first time. Other convention highlights include The Hall of Fame/Coach of the Year Banquet on Friday, Jan. 5, at 6:00 p.m. and the Honors Luncheon on Sat-urday, Jan. 6, at 12:15 p.m.

Nine Coaches Join ABCA Hall of FameThe American Baseball Coaches Asso-ciation Hall of Fame welcomes its largest class in 40 years as nine new members comprise the Class of 2007. The new inductees are Joe Cooper, Marshall (Mich.) Public Schools; Fred Decker, Western Michigan University; Wilbert Ellis, Grambling State Univer-sity; Don Landolphi, Brooklyn College; Keith Madison, University of Ken-tucky; Mike Martin, Florida State Uni-versity; Ron Nischwitz, Wright State University; Tom O’Connell, Catholic Central High School in Burlington, Wisc.; and Bernie Walter, Arundel High School in Gambrills, Md.

These coaches will join 219 other ama-teur baseball greats in the ABCA Hall of Fame at the annual Hall of Fame/Coach of the Year Banquet on Friday,

Jan. 5. This is the largest Hall of Fame class since the inaugural Class of 1966.

Biographies for each of the nine induct-ees follow.

After three years in the Air Force, Joe Cooper attended Western Michigan University where he played baseball for fellow ABCA Hall of Famer Char-lie Maher. In 1948, his final year at Western, Cooper hit a team-high .365, leading the Broncos to the NCAA Regional playoffs.

A summer of professional baseball fol-lowed before his first teaching and coaching contract with the Marshall Public Schools in Michigan. Thirty-five

years later, he retired after serving as teacher, coach, prin-cipal, ath-letic director, and assistant superinten-dent.

Recognized as one of the strongest baseball pro-grams in the state, his Mar-shall teams

were 240-130 with 12 conference cham-pions and one mythical state champion-ship. His coaching career also included two years managing the Battle Creek/Muskegon Belles in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League, of League of Their Own fame, in 1951-52.

During this time, he became a volun-teer in the American Amateur Baseball Congress (AABC), founded the Connie Mack program, and was an officer in the very first Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association. In 1983, he retired from education, became President of the AABC, and led the group to its sta-tus as one of the finest in the amateur ranks, reaching a high of 14,000 teams in seven age groups. Cooper was also

an officer of both the ABCA and USA Baseball, heading up their youth divi-sions.

Fred Decker retired from Western Mich-igan University in 2004 after 29 years as Head Coach. The highlight of his playing career was playing in the College World

Series in 1963 on a West-ern Michigan team that was ranked as high as second in the nation.

After serving as an assis-tant to WMU Head Coach Bill Cham-bers, Deck-er became Head Coach in 1976. Dur-ing his tenure,

his teams had 791 wins, including 401 Mid-American Conference (MAC) vic-tories. Both figures rank first all-time in the MAC record books.

Decker had 95 players drafted and signed into professional baseball, and two of his former players are now head coaches at the NCAA Division I level—Randy Ford (who succeeded him at Western Michigan) and Rich Maloney (University of Michigan). Decker also served on the ABCA All-American selection committee for nine years.

Wilbert Ellis’s ties with Grambling State University have been long and strong, as the 1959 graduate played baseball there before becoming assistant coach and then the second head coach in program history.

Ellis was an assistant under Grambling President and Head Baseball Coach Ralph Waldo Emerson Jones for 17 sea-sons before taking over as head coach in 1978. Ellis guided the Tigers to eight divisional championships, three South-

western Athletic Conference (SWAC) championships, and five NCAA Regional appearances. He amassed a 740-462-1 record over 26 seasons, becoming the third all-time winningest college coach in Louisiana behind Jones and LSU’s Skip Bertman.

The seven-time SWAC Coach of the Year (1978, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1991, 1998, and 1999), Ellis was recognized by the

Louisiana State Legislature on five occasions for his out-standing coach-ing record and service to Grambling State University. He produced eight All-Ameri-cans, coached 48 players who signed with major league teams, and helped bring

the New York Yankees to play the Tigers in three exhibition games on the school’s campus. Among his biggest career high-lights are three lineup exchanges with Yankees managers.

A native of Ruston, La., he has been honored several times by the ABCA, including the 25-Year Award, 400th Win Award (1993), and Louisville Slug-ger Award (1999) as well as the NAACP. Ellis has served on the NCAA’s Division I Baseball Advisory Committee and as a Division I regional/super regional tourna-ment director for 12 years. All the while, much of his focus was on the YES Clin-ics, conducting 15 as part of the fes-tivities surrounding the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.

Through more than 50 years of service to the game, both nationally and inter-nationally, Don Landolphi brought base-ball to players and countries that want-ed to learn how to play “The American Game.” Landolphi began playing on the streets of Brooklyn where stickball was the game everyone played, but baseball soon became his passion.

Landolphi’s formal playing career started at St. Michael’s Diocesan High School and continued at Brooklyn College, and he served as a senior captain of both teams. Upon graduation from Brooklyn College, he became a member of the Physical Education and Exercise Science Department and earned three degrees from the school—a Bachelor of Science,

ABCA CONVENTION PREVIEW

Masters of Science, and Professional Degree in Administration and Super-vision. During his professional career, Landolphi was a Full Professor as well

as Assistant Athletic Direc-tor, Financial Aid Advisor, and Freshman Transfer Stu-dent Advisor and Counselor.

Landolphi received hon-ors on two occasions from the students of Brooklyn College as an outstanding

teacher. His ability to teach the game of baseball makes him a popular speaker at baseball clinics not only locally, but nationally as well. He still coaches, con-ducts camps, and talks the game of baseball to all who want to listen.

Landolphi formed a very strong relation-ship with Italian Baseball in the spring of 1973, which continues to this day. He also chaired the International Commit-tee for the ABCA when it was the Amer-ican Association of College Baseball Coaches, and he has been an ambassa-dor for USA Baseball and Major League Baseball International. He has conduct-ed clinics in Japan, Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico. Landolphi is presently the Chair of the Editorial Committee for the ABCA Coaching Digest.

When Keith Madison was named the University of Kentucky Head Coach in 1978, he became the youngest head coach in NCAA Division I at 26 years of age. Twenty-five years later, he retired as the winningest coach in the

108-year history of the Kentucky base-ball program with 737 victories, and he is still the third-winningest coach in Southeastern Conference history.

In 25 years at UK, Madison coached 10 All-Americans, 20 first-team All-SEC selections, 89 SEC Academic All-Con-ference Players, 44 All-SEC selections,

and 85 play-ers who were drafted or signed pro-fessional baseball con-tracts. His teams broke the school record for wins four times, includ-ing 39 wins in 1981 and 41 wins in 1991. Kentucky appeared in

the top 25 in eleven of his 25 years. In 2005, Madison was inducted into the University of Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame and the Kentucky High School Baseball Hall of Fame.

In 2000, Madison broke the school record for consecutive wins with a 15-0 start, began a fundraising effort to raise $4.2 million to build a new stadium, and served as President of the ABCA. Dur-ing the 1988 season, he led UK to its first NCAA regional in 38 years, losing to eventual national champion Stanford in the regional finals. In 1994, his UK team led NCAA Division I baseball with 110 home runs as it had in 1991, with 86 home runs.

After 25 years as the Kentucky Head BaseballCoach, Madison moved to the development office, and then became

INTRODUCING EXOGRID.EXTREME DOMINATION CONTINUES.

W H Y B A T S T H A T B E N D D O N ’ T W I N . The last thing you want at the moment of contact is for your bat handle to fl ex. When the handle fl exes, the barrel can’t. That reduces your trampoline effect. A stiff handle produces more barrel fl ex, resulting in maximum trampoline effect and, ultimately, greater performance.

the FCA National Director of College Baseball. Currently, he serves as the National Baseball Director for SCORE International.

A Florida State graduate, Mike Martin has been associated with the school’s baseball program for 35 of its 60 sea-sons. He spent two seasons as a Semi-noles outfielder, five as an assistant

coach, and is in his 28th year run-ning the pro-gram. Of the 3,209 baseball games played in program his-tory, Martin has been involved in 2,316. Even more impres-sive is the fact that he has been involved in 1,719 of FSU’s 2,330 all-

time victories. Over 73 percent of Florida State’s victories have come with Martin as a part of the program.

The legendary Seminoles coach has seen 62 of his players garner All-Ameri-can honors, five players named national player of the year, three win the Golden Spikes award, and 120 sign profession-al baseball contracts. Only one current Division I coach has won a higher per-centage of games than Martin, and only five coaches in the history of D-I base-ball have more wins.

Martin just completed his 27th season at the helm of the Seminoles baseball program, and 2006 ended just like the 26 seasons before it, with the team once again competing in NCAA Tournament play. Only one team in America has been to more consecutive NCAA Tour-naments than the Seminoles, who have made 29 straight postseason appear-ances. Since 1990, no team has finished in the top 10 more times than FSU’s 13 top-10 finishes, and no other program has come close to compiling as many 50-win seasons as Martin’s 12 50-win campaigns in the last 15 years. No team in America has been to more NCAA Tournaments in that span either.

The FSU coach is second in the NCAA among active Division I coaches for win-ning percentage and fifth in wins. He sixth on the all-time wins list. Martin is one of just eight coaches in the history of Division I baseball to record 1,400 wins.

In 30 years as head coach of the Wright State baseball team, Ron Nischwitz col-lected 845 wins, four regular-season con-ference titles, two conference tourna-ment championships, a runner-up finish in the NCAA Division II College World Series, and a trip to the NCAA Divi-sion I Regionals. He led the Raiders to 20 winning seasons, including a trio of 40-win seasons. In his first year on the job, 1975, Nischwitz secured Wright State’s first winning season in its five years of varsity competition as well as a trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament. The following three seasons, the Raid-ers returned to tournament play and claimed second place in the 1976 NCAA

Division II Mid-east Regional.

In 1980, WSU reached post-season play again and posted an impressive 16-8 record versus Divi-sion I oppo-nents. Sweep-ing through the Division II North Central Regional, the

Raiders earned a bid to the 1987 Divi-sion II College World Series in Mont-gomery, Ala., where they finished in a tie for second place. Honored for his dedication to collegiate baseball, Nis-chwitz received the 1987 NCAA Divi-sion II District Coach of the Year Award and served as chairman of the Division II baseball committee in 1986 and 1987.

Wright State entered the Mid-Continent Conference in 1991, enabling Nischwitz to coach his club for the first time in conference action. Taking the Mid-Con by storm, Nischwitz compiled three con-secutive regular-season titles and was named the 1992 Mid-Continent Coach of the Year, as well as WSU’s Coach of the Year for the 1993–94 school year.

The year 2000 saw the opening of Nis-chwitz Stadium, considered one of the finest baseball facilities in the Midwest. Nischwitz then picked up his 800th career win in 2001 as the Raiders beat UW-Milwaukee. In all, Nischwitz accumu-lated a record of 867 wins, 712 losses, and seven ties for a .549 winning per-centage during his tenure. In 13 years of conference play, he recorded a 152-119 record and .561 winning percentage.

The only high school coach ever elected President of the ABCA, Tom O’Connell has spent 38 years coach-ing baseball. From 1974 to 2000, he coached at Pulaski High School in Mil-waukee where his teams won more games than any other sport in the school’s history. Six years ago, after retiring from teaching, he became the head coach at Catholic Central High School in Burlington, Wis., where he led the Hilltoppers to consecutive state championships in 2004 and 2005. Combined, his teams have won nearly 400 games.

Long involved in the ABCA and cur-rently a member of its Board of Direc-tors, O’Connell was Chairman of the High School Division from 1984 to 1996 and initiated many of the policies still in use. He is also a past-President of the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Associa-tion where for 20 years he organized the state’s successful Clinic and Con-vention. In 1987, he was inducted into

the WBCA Hall of Fame, and, in 1991, was named its Man of the Year.

Three-time Regional Coach of the Year (1983, 2004, and 2005), O’Connell was selected as Dia-mond Sports National High School Coach of the Year in

2004. In 1995, he coached the North Team in the final United States Olympic Festival, a squad which featured cur-rent major leaguers Mark Mulder, Jody Gerut, and Robb Quinlan.

In 1993, O’Connell was selected as the first high school coach to participate in the Major League Baseball Envoy pro-gram and served 10 years living with families, coaching club teams, and intro-ducing baseball in schools throughout Germany. This experience, which he calls his most life-affecting, has given O’Connell a traveling itch that has remained in his blood. He spent the past six years leading teams of profes-sional and college coaches to all cor-ners of Europe, conducting clinics for International Sports Group, an organi-zation founded by ABCA Board Mem-ber and mentor, Bill Arce.

Bernie Walter graduated from Brook-lyn Park High School in Anne Arun-del County, Maryland, in 1959, and he matriculated at the University of Mary-

land, graduat-ing in 1963. He was a three-time let-terman while playing short-stop and tri-captaining the Terrapins. Walter was twice an ACC honor roll stu-dent-athlete. In 1964 and 1965, Bernie served as a graduate assis-

tant in the College of Health and Physi-cal Education, while assisting with the Terrapins baseball team. In 1965, Walter moved to Baltimore’s Archbishop Curley High to teach and coach.

In 1971, he moved to Arundel High in Gambrills, Md., coaching football, wrestling, track, and in 1975, baseball. Walter’s Arundel baseball teams have won a state record nine state cham-pionships and were runners-up four times while recording more than 600 wins. In 1993, Collegiate Baseball and Easton Sports recognized the Wild-cats as the mythical national champi-ons. Since 1981, Walter has served as Arundel’s Athletic Director and Physi-cal Education Department Chair while earning three National Demonstration School Awards.

From 1966 to 1979, Walter was the field manager of the six-time AAABA National Champion Leone’s-Johnny’s sandlot teams. With USA Baseball, his 1988 team won the World Junior Cham-pionship in Sydney, Australia, by defeat-ing the Cubans. He also wrote the USA Baseball Coaches Education Program and currently is the educational consul-tant for MLB Productions’ “This Week In Baseball.” Walter managed Post 226 to the 1993 American Legion World Series Championship. His baseball career wins total more than 2,300.

Honors LuncheonEach year, the Honors Luncheon is one of the convention highlights since it allows the ABCA to pay special tribute to some very special people. This year, the ABCA will again have some promi-nent individuals receiving awards.

Honors Awards will be given Terry Fran-cona, Joe Garagiola, Jr., and George Toma during the luncheon, which will be held on Saturday, Jan. 6. Francona, for-mer University of Arizona star and ABCA All-American and Player of the Year, is the manager of the Boston Red Sox. In 2004, his first season at the helm in Bos-ton, he guided the Red Sox to their first World Championship since 1918.

Joe Garagiola, Jr. is the Senior Vice-President of Baseball Operations for Major League Baseball. He holds the distinction of assembling, in 2001, the fastest World Series winner in baseball history as General Manager of the Ari-zona Diamondbacks.

Toma has been recognized and honored worldwide for sports turf management. He is the ultimate authority on baseball and football fields.

Any ABCA member may nominate an individual for the Honor Award. The Nominating/Awards Committee then reviews the nominations and selects two or three of these people to receive this award. Past recipients include former President George Bush, John Grisham, Dick Enberg, Sparky Anderson, Sandy Alderson, Tony Gwynn, Michael Joseph-

E-MAIL TO BILL HENNING, PRESIDENT OF AER-FLO, INC. – 12-7-05Dear Bill: I just wanted to write a short note to give my full and heartfelt endorse-ment for your Bunt Zone™ Infi eld Protector-Trainer. There are many aspects of it that have benefi ted my baseball program. As Head Coach of a very competitive baseball program, practice time is always of the essence. The Bunt Zone protector-trainer allows us to work on bunting, pull hitting, and middle away hitting - All while protecting our infi eld grass. The multi-colored “zones” provide instant feedback to both our players and coaches. I have been teaching the “pitcher’s triangle” for years, but when the Bunt Zone Protector was put down on the infi eld, the boys instantly knew what I was teaching. It is easy to put on the fi eld, and is also just as easily folded up and put away. I have found that the material used to make the Bunt Zone product has proved to be very rugged and resistant to tears or holes….(even when stepped on by a clueless, spike-wearing freshman). I purchase nearly 15K dollars worth of equipment every year for my team and consider the money invested on the Bunt Zone Protector-Trainer as some of the best money I have spent.Sincerely,

Dave Panicola, Head Varsity Baseball CoachSatellite High School, Satellite, FL

The one-pass design of the Earth & Turf Linear Aerator completely changes the way aeration is performed. Soil and

thatch restriction are per-manently modified, and maxi-mum mod-ification

of the turf is assured. Use it after the field has been topdressed with calcined clay, compost, or sand, and the Linear Aerator will condition a 58-inch swath by cutting grooves in the turf three inches deep, half an inch wide, and three and a half inches apart. Linear aeration improves water infiltration and retention, turf and root growth, nutrient absorption, and organic decomposition.

When Huron High School in Ohio wanted to convert its bleachers into grand-stands with self-rising stadium chairs, they chose Seating Services’ Tread

Mount and Floor Mount Series 3000 Cardinal Model. There

were only 24 inches of space per row, but with some slight alterations to the planking, the seats were a perfect fit. The gravity-tipped, blow-molded chairs meet safety codes while providing excel-lent comfort. This project was completed

on aluminum, but the chairs are also ideal for wood, steel, or concrete. Seat widths can vary from 18 to 22 inches. Use them to create VIP seating for a great fundraiser.

American Baseball Coaches Association

In 1945, a group of college baseball coaches gathered in New York City to formulate ideas for the promotion and improvement of collegiate baseball. That group founded what is known today as the American Baseball

Coaches Association. Over the past 60 years, the association has grown to include membership in every division of amateur baseball and is recognized as the world’s largest baseball association.

The main objective of the ABCA is educational in nature, helping to improve the level of coaching. The ABCA helps to promote rapport among the coaches and the divisions within baseball and recognizes deserving players and coaches through several sponsorship/award programs.

Membership for the ABCA is only $30 per year for US residents, $35 for Canadian members, and $40 for international members. All memberships must be paid on US money orders or checks drawn from US banks.

New Products Debuting at the 2007 Convention

BP Zone™ Batting CageTurf Protector

The BP Zone Batting Cage Turf Protector is a collar that protects the turf in the high-traffic area around a batting cage. Made with the latest PVC-polyester industrial matrix fabric, it easily withstands intensive baseball spike traffic. Spikes can’t penetrate it, but air, sunlight, and rain can, allowing this mat to be left down longer than geotextile fabric mats that can “smother” turf. It is sized to fit all home base areas with cages, and is easy to install and remove.

Aer-Flo® Ballasted Windscreen

The new patent-pending Aer-Flo® Ballasted Windscreen is a system of five-foot-wide units installed on alternating sides of a chain-link fence. Each unit is weighted across its bottom and attached to the fence only along its top. The units are ballasted, so they stay vertical in playable winds, but open up in unplayable high winds. This helps preserve both the windscreen and the fence, and it eliminates the need for labor-intensive removal and reinstallation after storms. Unique built-in hook-and-loop strips at the top allow one person to easily roll up and secure the units before storms.

Tuff Screens are some of the toughest field screens in the business. Available in an oversized 8’ x 8’ fungo screen or a pitcher’s “L”, these screens have a powder-coated two-inch galvanized steel frame, a UV-treat-ed, heavy-duty knotted nylon net, a ricochet padded hip protector, and large pneumatic steel hub wheels. Options to choose from include wings (shown), a screen connector, and additional padding.

Mound Mender

Want to eliminate the hole in front of your pitching rubber once and for all? The Mound Mender represents a revolutionary change in pitching rubber design. A short platform made of artificial turf is built right into the mound in front of the rubber. The turf platform is replaceable and provides the pitcher with a flat, stable base on which to pitch—inning after inning, game after game, season after season.

100SP self-propelledwalking topdresser

Earth & Turf Products has introduced its new 100SP self-propelled walking top-dresser. The 100SP features a 10-cubic-foot capacity and is powered by a 9 HP Briggs & Stratton engine. A four-wheel stance increases stability on more hilly lawns, and hydrostatic drive makes this topdresser very user-friendly. See the new 100SP at the Green Industry Expo Product Field Day (booth number 736), and on display inside (booth number 2221).

SportsCam

SportsCam is an affordable point-and-shoot 500-frame-per-second digital video camera with a built-in display screen, a USB 2.0 connection, and CompactFlash download. As the world’s first high-speed digital camera specifically designed for coaching, training, gait analysis, kinematics, physical therapy, and biomechanics research, the SportsCam captures thousands of images at very high frame rates and then plays them back in slow motion, so that coaches, trainers, athletes, and researchers can immediately analyze performance.

VersaStep hurdles

For quickness and agility training, the ben-efits of step hurdles are well known. Power Systems has improved on the traditional step hurdle by increasing durability, stabil-ity, and portability with the new VersaStep hurdles. A wide, weighted, non-intrusive base and a pliable bounce-back design make VersaStep hurdles more user friendly by eliminating the need to keep resetting them. Even when stepped on, they return to their original shape. Transporting the hurdles is easy because the entire set of six stacks neatly onto the carrying handle. VersaStep hurdles are available in six- and 12-inch heights, and both sizes have an 18-inch base.

Home Run baseball jersey

Russell Athletic’s new Home Run baseball jersey is made of a proprietary performance fabric designed to enhance on-field perfor-mance. This Dri-Power Ventilator fabric accel-erates the movement of moisture from the body while increasing the release of heat. As a result, the athlete feels cooler and drier during competition. If your team is looking for a competitive advantage, this jersey is for you.

Track Attack vision training machine

Sports Attack has introduced the Track Attack vision training machine, a year-round Major League training tool for hitters. Track Attack uses soft, limited-flight pitching machine balls that are 20 percent smaller than baseballs. It is a valuable hitting sta-tion that forces hitters to track and focus on the center of the ball. The batter’s head stays down, causing the front of his or her shoulders and hips to stay in. Track Attack can be used on any surface—in the gym, on the field, or at home. A ball feeder is also available.

Strike Out Strippz™

Strike Out Strippz™ is the world’s first pitch-ing glove™. Endorsed by seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens, it is one of the greatest tools ever developed for pitchers. Strike Out Strippz is guaranteed to improve control, increase speed, and help pitchers at any level develop perfect pitching mechanics. No ball or catcher are needed, and Strike Out Strippz can be used indoors or out. The product comes with an hour-long instructional DVD on pitching hosted by The Rocket himself.

Great Products and Support Make for Satisfied Customers“We have purchased one Beacon softball tension batting cage and two baseball tension batting cages in the past three

years. These cages give us the opportu-nity to turn a small area into

a multi-purpose area. Every night, we can turn a small exercise room into a hitting area with just two cages. At the end of the night, we take down the cages and the room is ready for any activity.”

Joe RedaAthletic Director/Baseball CoachBloom Township High School, Ill.

“Beacon Athletics has such a variety of ball field products, we get everything we need from them. You can always find new and innovative products from Beacon. An example of this is the Streamliner infield marker. This marker does a great job, is easy to use, and needs very little mainte-nance. We have always been very happy with the products and services provided by Beacon Athletics.”

Paul KlinzingPark Supervisor/City ForesterMonroe Parks and Recreation

Department, Wis.

“Since starting with the Reds in 2001, Beacon Athletics has been extremely ben-eficial to us, providing excellent products and technical support. The company’s staff has many years of experience deal-ing with baseball fields at all levels. I never hesitate to recommend the prod-ucts and expertise of Beacon Athletics to others in the industry.”

Glove Radar Keeps You Up to Speed on Throwing ProgressThe Glove Radar is a small, inexpen-sive, accurate microwave Doppler radar device that attaches to the back of virtually any baseball or softball glove. It “sees” through the glove and measures

the speed of the ball, thrown from any distance, just before it is caught.

The rug-ged Glove Radar can withstand baseball impacts

at speeds above 100 mph and softball impacts above 75 mph. There’s no need for a third person to hold a mea-suring device. The Glove Radar offers remarkable accuracy and convenience at an affordable price.

Take it from Ken Griffey, Jr.—the Glove Radar is the ideal aid for developing the throwing skills of infielders, outfielders, pitchers, and catchers. When players learn how to prepare to throw, warm up correctly, and develop proper throwing mechanics, they will achieve optimum velocity and accuracy with a lower chance of injury to their arm, shoulder, or elbow.

The Glove Radar is a big hit among coaches, players, and parents, and all have fun using it. It’s available at a fraction of the cost of most radar guns—the MSRP of the Glove Radar is only $79.95.
