Music

Ÿ Bhumika Bharadwaj, 6A has won the 1st Place in the Dasara Padagalu, 1st Place in Bhava Geete and 1st Place in Veena Recital event organised by Nadabrahma Kalakendra in July 2017. She has also won 2nd Place in Purandara Dasara Padagalu event organised by Gayana Samaja at National College, Basavanagudi.

Ÿ Apoorva H Arun, 6A has won 1st Place in Vocal competition and 2nd Place in Flute Recital event held on 1st and 2nd July organised by Gayana Samaja.

Ÿ Suhas M, 8A won the 1st Place in vocal competition held in July by Swaranava Sangeetha Shale. He also won the 1st Place for Carnatic music in August 2017 in the Inter High School Music Competition - 2017 organised by Rotary Public School.

Ÿ Anirudha H Kulkarni, 8B won 1st Prize in Devaranama and 2nd Place in Swatitirunal Compositions division held at Gayana Samaja. He has secured 3rd Place in Bhavageethe event in Tyagaraja compositions event held at Sangeetha Sabha, Giriniagar.

Ÿ Abha A, 9A won 2nd Place in event held at Sankethi Samaja. She won 1st Place in music event held by Maatreyee Foundation. 3rd Place in music event held by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sangha.

Inter Kumarans Fest was organised by Sri Kumaran Children’s Home CBSE, Mallasandra on 31st August 2017. Spark Catch Them Young 2017-18

Spark Catch Them Young (CTY), a decade-long Infosys' initiative, trains high school students in the basics of Information Technology. Started in 1997, this two week long program aims to expose bright urban youth to the world of Information Technology by conducting a summer vacation program for them at Infosys’ campuses. It also raises the curiosity levels in young students to develop an interest in computer science and information technology. Ananya P Krishna and Srinath Srikanth have been selected for this program.

Wild Wisdom Quiz 2017Bangalore City Level in WWF India - Wild Wisdom Quiz 2017 was organised at Surana College, Bangalore on 30th August 2017. Aratrik Das (8A) and Ashita Shankar (7A) won the 2nd Place. They were selected for the National Finale held at Delhi. Aratrik Das (8A) and Ankit Rajesh B (7B) participated in the National Level Finale hosted by talented Quiz Master Mr. Siddarth Basu.

VVMVidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is a national program for educating and popularizing science among school students of VI to XI standards. VVM also endeavours to identify the bright minds among the student community, who are keen on subjects related to science. 19 students took up the test. Ankit Rajesh B of Class 7B has won the 3rd Place in the State Level Camp Participation – India’s Largest Science Talent Search for New India Using Digital Devices (VVM) 2017-18, organized by Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) in association with National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India and Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India

GAP QuizAnkit Rajesh Bharadwaj and Aditya K V won the 2nd Place in Class 7 Category, Badri Vishal (5A) and Smriti R(6A) won the 1st Place in for the Classes 5 & 6 category, Rishin Saini (4C) and Niranjana Arun (4B) won 3rd Place in the Class 4 category of the Intra School GAP Quiz conducted at SKCH, MLS.

NTSENational Talent Search Examination is a national-level scholarship program in India to

identify and recognize students with high intellect and academic talent. It is one of the

most prestigious exams in India. Rishi Ravindra and Suraj Jaykumar have qualified

for the National Level.

NGSE

National Genius Search Examination (NGSE) is a scientifically devised assessment tool

to locate genius among children. It is an innovative approach for accelerated learning,

developed more than 13 years of rigorous research and adaptability tests. Nithyaa B,

5A(94%), Ankith R B, 7B(94%), Nishanth Shetty, 10A(89%) and Suraj Jaykumar,

10B(92%) have qualified for the NGSE Advanced 2018.
