reason
Valor needs your help..
Each of you have an
important part during a
CODE BLUE
CODE BLUE: STUDENT’S JOB
• When you hear CODE BLUE over the
intercom immediately stop what you are
doing and listen for instruction
• No one should be talking – the room
should completely silent.
• Move out of your desk and onto the floor
• Listen - your teacher will direct you to an
area out of sight, away from windows and
doors
REMEMBER:
• You should not be talking
• You should not be laughing or
making ANY sounds
• Your safety depends on the threat
believing the room is empty – all
must be silent
WHAT IF I AM IN THE HALLS OR BATHROOM?
• Immediately go into the NEAREST
CLASSROOM
• It doesn’t matter if you know the teacher or
who is in the class.
• Your whereabouts will be communicated to
your teacher after the CODE BLUE is clear
• Do not wait – immediately join the nearest
classroom
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
• Remain silently in the locked classroom
• Do no open the door for ANYONE for ANY REASON – even if they say they are a lost student or a police officer
