The infiniTe legO game One of the most popular Christmas presents, not only for kids, is the Lego. This famous Scandinavian construction toy inspired Piere Lissoni in designing his new sofa. “My idea was to create a new modular system which you can use to make your own sofa that would perfectly fit your space,” says Piero Lissoni. The Italian architect and designer compares this concept to the alphabet. “Just like the words and sentence are constructed of the letters of the alphabet, so can the Alphabet sofa give you the freedom to create your own world, your own words in the space,” adds Lissoni. The sofa’s four basic elements include seat, backrest, armrest, and cushions. These elements can be put together with different combinations into individual design. Let us add that the new Alphabet sofa has been on the Czech market since September 2008.

Dune & my life, my sTyleAnother interesting new product of this season is the Dune seating by Carlo Colombo introduced by the Italian company Poliform. This comfortable modular system offers a variety of seating arrangement in living space. Apart from that, Poliform introduced a new section My life, my style on its website. Dynamism, creativity, and new expression characterizes this interactive journey through colours, emotions, and motion. You can watch six videos where Poliform presents six concepts of living space. The projects have different aesthetics, mood, and reflect different individuality. Six stories of urban style, nature, and spirit. This is a world full of emotions called “My life, my style”.

mOngOlian prairies anD OTher wOrlDsMongolian prairie, yurts, and kumis… the spirit of the Far East transformed into Gran Khan sofa by the Italian Edra. Atypical sofa Gran Khan was designed by the court designer of Edra Francesco Binfaré as a unique reminiscence of bedspreads which you can find in Mongolian yurts. „This is an example of somewhat bourgeois creation which combines the world of Mongolian nomads with contemporary modern technology of seating furniture,“ says Edra. When we add other famous seating designs like Boa (you can test it in our Prague showroom), Damier or Tatlin (introduced in the last CODE), it becomes obvious that the designers of Edra, a company which celebrated twenty years of its existence this year, have reached their absolute top.

The Japanese designer, Hiromichi Konno has created the RIN™ chair for Fritz Hansen; an elegant and futuristic design. The idea is to create a new type of chair that is in harmony with Japanese and Danish design traditions. The chair is elegant with a very innovative and progressive design. It invites you to sit in it for hours taking the traditional chair design into a new direction.

Hiromichi Konno is a Japanese designer with an international touch. He has studied both in Japan and Sweden and also lived in London for many years. His style is very unique and there is a special energy and something almost teasing about his designs. He now works for large companies and manufacturers around the world, and he is particularly in demand in Scandinavia.

There is a big difference between looking at a chair and sitting in it. I have tried to create a chair that offers more than mere comfort. A pleasant feeling that hopefully remains.

My first idea was to make a beautiful chair that stimulates and awakens emotions. Therefore, I have established something poetical, simple, strong, relaxed and innovative all at the same time. The goal from the beginning was to create the perfect chair.

The Japanese word RIN means an appearance that is stunning, elegant and courageous. It also means a single flower - in a way, the chair looks like a flower standing still. I thought this relates to the image of RIN chair.

My chair should radiate a sophisticated, simple beauty that people will experience when sitting in the chair - a chair is not just a form.

new puppies arriveWe are introducing two new versions of the popular dog Puppy by the Finnish de-signer Eero Aarnio on the market. The chair Puppy is a dog loved by children, and at the same time, one of the best-selling products of modern design in recent years. Now, 3DH introduces two brand new surface varieties on the Czech market which will help the Puppy icon to get even further. The abstract dog made of polyethylene has been so far produced in three sizes (34.5 / 45.0 / 55.5 cm), and three colours – white, orange, and green. Now, the absolute novelty has arrived on the market: the green fluorescent Puppy and its glossy version available in white, red, and black.
