Block-Based Programming

Provide step-by-step instructions on how to

make a Jelly Sandwich.

1. Design a (simple) maze on graph paper using only horizontal and vertical lines.

2. Write or draw arrows to show step-by-step instructions on how to get through the maze.

3. Swap with a partner.

4. Follow instructions exactly—even if you see a mistake.

5. If program has bugs:Try rewriting instructions and have partner try again.

6. If program doesn’t have bugs:Make a new, bigger maze or move on to laptops.
