Coffee Cup Camper Guidelines 1.If you are currently using alcohol or mind-altering drugs, we ask that you not attend or you will be asked to leave. 2.No smoking or vaping is allowed during meetings (whether inside or outside). 3.You need to notify the chair/committee at [email protected] if you plan to attend any campout. 4.Please respond to all campout emails whether you plan to attend or not. 5.The Wagon Master is the person in charge of the campout. 6.Meetings are held on Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday morning during the weekend, and we encourage you to attend. 7.On Saturday evening we share a covered dish dinner. Campers are asked to bring enough food for themselves and their guests as well as enough to share with the group as a whole. You are responsible for your own drink, and utensils. 8.Pets are allowed as long as it is within the Pet Policy set by the campground, and must be kept leashed and quiet. As an owner, please remember to clean up after your pet. Pets are not allowed at any time at meetings or in the dining area (whether inside or outside). 9.Your behavior is a direct reflection on our group. We must always adhere to the rules set forth by the campground where we are guests. 10.Your language is a reflection of where you are in recovery. The absence of profanity offends no one. 11.We are self-supporting through our own contributions; Therefore, please come prepared to contribute your time, money, help, etc. 12.Remember “Camper’s Law”; always leave a place cleaner than you found it. What do we camp in? Some of us have tents, some have 40-foot motorhomes and the rest have everything in between. It doesn’t matter what you camp in just as long as you are a member of AA or Al-Anon. What do we do? The NC Coffee Cup Campers camp nine to ten times a year. Generally most arrive on the Friday night of the campout. That night we have an Al-Anon meeting. Saturday evening is a pot-luck dinner followed by an AA speaker meeting and passing of the basket (we are self supporting). Sunday morning is our “God as I Understand Him” meeting. All the time in between is yours for fellowship or whatever the campground or surrounding area has to offer. Who Does What? Your trusted servants include (at each campout) a Wagon Master, Program Chairperson and a Host/Hostess. We have a Steering Committee with a Secretary and Treasurer.
