COFFS SHOW IS A COVID SAFE EVENT
PRESIDENT’S REPORT 2021
Our 2021 Coffs Harbour Show is one of 560 scheduled Australia wide this year. Last year many shows did not take place due to drought bushfires & Corona Virus. This year, our show will highlight excellence in Agriculture, Pastoral & Horticultural areas as well as providing the non-agricultural sector of our community with their opportunity to participate in craft, photography, vegetables and flowers to complement our school section. Above all our show joins the Australian Show Family as the largest volunteer based activity, and the longest running community event in Coffs Harbour. Christopher Pearson

411. The BECKETT FAMILY TROPHY
Open Champion Boy or Girl Rider under 17 years
Whoever wins this trophy and prize money will have worked hard for it. Just sitting on a horse and looking good doesn’t cut it. The Judge can see when the person in the saddle is actually riding the horse. A good mount will usually know what to do however the rider has to demonstrate that he or she is in charge and that the horse is responding to the subtle commands being transmitted via the hands, the seat and the legs. Of course a lot of credit has to go to the parents who give the time and attention necessary for the young rider and horse to really enjoy their partnership. Margaret Beckett
Reserve to the winner may compete for runner up.
