    COUPLES FOR CHRIST

    COVENANT ORIENTATION

     The Covenant Orientation (CO) is part of the first-year formation program for all CFC members.It is given three months after the Christian Life Program (CLP). It is a required course for allCFC members.

     The CO is offered as a one-day activity. It focuses on the most basic elements of our covenantin CFC.

     The household head of the participants will act as group facilitator in the discussion. The CO will end with a workshop.

     The culminating activity of the CO is a GK site visit on the following weekend of all participantsand their facilitator.

    Goals of the course

    1. To expound on the meaning and importance of our covenant in CFC.

    2. To expound on the more basic elements of this covenant.3. To deepen the commitment of CFC members to their life and calling in CFC.

    Topics of the talks

    1. Our covenant in CFC2. Prayer and Scripture3. Strengthening family life4. Our Christian culture in CFC

    Workshop topicAsk the participants on how can they fully live out their covenant with the Lord and on howthey can express their Christian culture in CFC .

    Resource persons

    1. Team leader (in charge of whole day)2. Worship leader3. Facilitator (preferably the household of the participants)

    4. Speakers5. Elder for open forum (preferably a Chapter Head; if not, a more senior Unit Head).6. Music ministry 7. Service team

    Suggested Speakers for the following talks:

    1. Talk No. 2 Husband and wife. The wife share her experience on her prayer life and scripturereading.

    2. Talk No. 3 Family. The husband as the main speaker with sharing from the wife andchildren focusing on their service to CFC and their relationship with the community at large.A Sharing from the GK beneficiary or volunteer workers may be added.

    3. Talk 1 and 4. Elder.

    Guidelines for "Introduction"

    1. Welcome the participants.

    2. Brief recap of the CFC first-year formation program.

    3. Schedule for the day.

    4. Group discussion after each talk. There will be a workshop after talk no. 4 then an open

    forum follows.

    5. Exhortation.

    • Openness to the Lord.

    • Listen to the talk

    • Participate in the group discussion
