A young lady was waiting forher flight in the boarding

room of a big airport.

Page 3: Cokie thief

As she would need to wait many hours, she decided to buy a book to spend her time. She also bought a packet of cookies.

Page 4: Cokie thief

She sat down in an armchair, inthe VIP room of the airport,

to rest and read in peace.

Page 5: Cokie thief

Beside the armchair where the packet of cookies lay, a man sat

down in the next seat, opened hismagazine and started reading.

Page 6: Cokie thief

When she took outthe first cookie, theman took one also.

She felt irritated butsaid noting. She Just

thought : “What anerve! If I was in themood I would punch

him for daring!”

Page 7: Cokie thief

For each cookie she took, the mantook one too. This was infuriating herbut she didn’t want

to cause a scene.

Page 8: Cokie thief

When only one cookie remained, she thought:“ah…what this abusive man do now?” Then, theman, taking the last cookie, divided it into half,

giving her one half.

Page 9: Cokie thief

Ah! That was too much! Shewas much too angry now!

In a huff, she took her book, her things and stormed to

the boarding place.

Page 10: Cokie thief

When she sat down in her seat, insidethe plane, she looked into her purse to take her eyeglasses, and, to her surprise, her packet of cookies was

there, untouched, unopened!

Page 11: Cokie thief

She felt so ashamed!!!She realized that shewas wrong. She had forgotten that her cookies were kept

in her purse.

Page 12: Cokie thief

The man had divided hiscookies with her, withoutfeeling angered or bitter.

Page 13: Cokie thief

While she had been very angry, thinking that she was dividing her cookies with

him.And now there was no chance to explain

herself nor to apologize.

Page 14: Cokie thief

Being sure is not the same as being right. Certainty without humility can lead to self-

righteousness that distorts our view andunderstanding of the world and of people.

Page 15: Cokie thief

Humility doesn’t require us to be equivocal or doubtful about our deepestconvictions. What it asks is that we hold and advocate our beliefs without

dismissing the possibility that others may be right instead.

Page 16: Cokie thief

There are 4 things that you cannot recover after

we have done.

Page 17: Cokie thief

The stone after the throw!

Page 18: Cokie thief

The word after it’s said!

Page 19: Cokie thief

The occasion after the loss!

Page 20: Cokie thief

The time after it’s gone!

Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your

thoughts and everything will be well.
