Tensile test

The test shall be carried out at room temperature in accordance with EN ISO 6892-1 and the following determined:

a) the tensile strength Rm

b) the upper yield strength ReH

If a yield phenomenon value is not present, the 0.2 % proof strength Rp0.2

shall be determined.

c) the percentage elongation A after fracture with a reference to a gauge length L0 of 5.65√ S

If a non-proportional test piece is used, the percentage elongation A shall be converted to the value for a

All tubes are eddy current tested and are marked with size, cast number and specification.

Tubes can be supplied in zinc plated condition with 12, 15 or 25 micron plating thickness and clear yellow passivation.

A full range of phosphated tubes are also available within 2/3 weeks.

Benteler Distribution Limited are the exclusive distributor for

this product in the UK. These tubes are manufactured using

the most modern production methods and are made from

steel with a special analysis which gives the tubes excellent

flanging, flaring, flattening and bending characteristics. This

makes them ideally suitable for fuel lines, heating elements

and various specialised tube conduit systems. The tubes can

be supplied either in straight lengths of up to 12 meters or in

coils of up to 2,000 metres. For full details of coil lengths
