IF YOU DO HAVE A PFD:
• Get breathing under control
• Ask “Is rescue likely”within an hour or so
• If yes – stay with the boat, preserve energy and heat
• If not - you may consider swimming
• Once you make your decision, stick to it

and sustained pace (consider back stroke)
