Basket of Smiles for a Healthy EasterShelby Barone, Glitterful Felt Stories
Every year I have a tradition of where I give my
children new toothbrushes, their Grandma gives
them swimsuits, and their other Grandma gives
them money instead of candy. Walmart has a great
selection of Colgate toothbrushes that were perfect
for my kiddos Easter baskets this year. Since
we have shifted most of our Easter focus on our
religion, the kids help participate in creating their
Easter egg hunt. They help with shopping, hiding
the eggs, and it has become a special bonding
experience together as a family.

One of my favorite Easter traditions
of all is the EASTER BASKET.
My children loved their candy and
Dora and Sponge Bob Colgate
toothbrushes (It’s always nice to
have tooth bruhses in there to help
with all the candy they will be getting
at Easter).

Look! He found a Toothbrush! A Spongebob one to be exact. And
he loves it. In this household, we take oral hygiene seriously. Very
seriously. Yes, it probably has something to do with Davis being a new
dentist, but still. Teaching our kids to brush their teeth is important to
us. And with candy filled holidays, like Easter, it is so important that
kids brush to get the sugar off their teeth to help prevent cavities.

Easter Egg Hunting with Nickelodeon
T’oothbrushes!Jennifer Quillen, The Rebel Chick
I love hosting our Easter Egg Hunt! I love selecting
candy that everyone will like, hiding money in some
of the eggs so that the old kids can get really excited
about it too – you’d be surprised at how excited a
teen boy can get about hunting for Easter Eggs when
there’s $1 inside it! I gave them a few toys and some
really cute Nickelodeon toothbrushes to brush their
teeth after they finished eating their candy!

I came home with these FIVE Colgate toothbrushes. Did you see
the big Easter displays Colgate had up last week? Our Walmart
had already put theirs away, but it was still super easy to spot
the Colgate products. For my younger two kiddos I purchased
the Dora the Explorer and Spongebob Squarepants
battery powered toothbrushes.
They LOVE them!!!

For me, buying candy is hard – I am a kids dentist after all. I
am the first person who will tell you that buying candy on a
regular basis definitely has some negative impacts on your
child’s dental health. However, when it comes to holidays, the
fact of the matter is it is hard to deny our children of all the
massive amounts of candy. I highly suggest making dental
care a daily part of your kids life. Be role models for your
children so that they have a healthy mouth- make sure they
brush twice a day, floss (once their spaces between their teeth
close), and use a mouthwash (when they are over the age of 6).
Also, on those holidays that children celebrate, why not try to
incorporate some fun dental products into their repertoire. I am
so proud of Colgate for taking the first step in their huge
Colgate Nickelodeon Pallets that are readily seen throughout
Walmarts across this country.

Jules and I decided to plan a special egg treasure hunt for her class. Each kiddo was
getting a fun new toothbrush. I am sure we looked crazy cleaning out the Dora the
Explorer and Spongebob Squarepants toothbrushes...but we were on a mission. There
are kids who need clean teeth! It was so fun to share our egg hunt tradition with all of
the kids. They had so much fun looking for eggs and they LOVED their
new toothbrushes.

The kids simply love the art of discovery in the yearly Easter Egg Hunt. They
know that there is money and candy out there waiting so they are ready to go!
Of course, since Monkey is only 2 she does not quite understand. So, after
putting the girls to bed one night my husband and I went to Walmart to grab
some things for our Easter egg hunt. We would surprise the girls the next day
with the activity!

You see those beautiful smiles above?
They’re very important to me and I’m so
lucky to see them each and every day! I
love to make those faces smile and I love
to keep those smiles healthy!
Our life has been chaotic lately with this
move from the Island to the Woods. We
haven’t had as much fun as we usually
do so I decided to have a little pre-Easter
Egg Hunt. Spring is in the air and Easter
is just around the corner so it seemed
like the right thing to do.

Our Spring Cleaning ListChelsea Day, Someday I’ll Learn
We picked up a cute SpongeBob brush by Colgate over at Walmart for Some
Boy’s first brushing experience, which he seemed to get quite a kick out of. I
occasionally put Spongebob on for him and he seems to like the sea sponge’s
quirky, animated antics. He already seems to recognize characters from the
DVDs I show him, and I feel like a Spongebob toothbrush makes the process
a little less daunting, similar to the way they stick Elmo all over band aids or
make gummy vitamins in the shape of the Flintstones.

Candy Free Egg Hunting Ideas for Easter–Our Egg HuntWhitney Baugh, It’s Gravy Baby
Yesterday I mentioned how Bryson loved Easter egg hunting last year and
how I look forward to watching both of my babies hunt eggs this year. Today,
we had a mini egg hunt- just the kids and I- at home with some fun prizes.
Because their Easter baskets will have candy and because we have candy
leftover from who-knows-when (I need to throw it out!), I wanted to go for a
candy free egg hunt. Colgate has some great Nickelodeon character themed
oral care products out for Easter and I incorporated those into our hunt.

{Spring Break} Easter Egg HuntTonia Larson, The Gunny Sack
During my kid’s spring break, we went to visit
one of my best friends who lives in South
Dakota. It had been way too long since we had
made the drive to her house. We traveled with
another one of my best friends and her kids.
We had a wonderful time relaxing, catching up,
sitting in the sun and laughing like crazy! It was
the perfect opportunity to have an egg hunt for
the kids!
The night before we left, I stopped by Walmart
to pick up a bunch of egg hunt supplies. Kids
typically get a ton of candy from egg hunts so I
added some Colgate Nickelodeon Spongebob
Squarepants toothbrushes. Most kids love
getting new toothbrushes and what a great way
for them to clean all that sugar off their teeth!

Easter Traditions – Old and New {DIY Easter Carrot Tutorial)}Sarah Bird Bogner, East 9th Street
For kids, big and little, Easter has to be celebrated by having an Easter Egg
Hunt. This year we’re going a special hunt with my daughter’s closest friends.
You see, these little girls (and their moms) have become very close over the last
year and now that two of us are moving out-of-state soon, we’re cherishing the
moments that we can let them play together. Wanting to do something a little
different for the girls, I remembered a cute craft project I saw at Bird’s
Party. In the original tutorial long suckers were used to make
the carrots. Instead of using suckers, I used
Dora the Explorer toothbrushes
I found at Walmart.

Bathroom Spring CleaningAngie Holden, The Country Chic Cottage
I have been all about spring cleaning this year. Some years I skip it all together,
sometimes I do it halfway, but this year...it has been on! I have already shared some of
my triumphs with y’all. After Easter, I decided to tackle another project. The bathroom
is my latest victim. How about some before and after magic? Okay it was not magic
WHILE I was doing it but it is magic now.

Mini Easter Egg HuntCrystal Owens, A Pumpkin and a Princess
I picked up Dora and Spongebob toothbrushes to
change things up a bit. I also included matching
toothpaste to go along with them. Since they get so
much candy from family on Easter I thought it was
only appropriate to remind them of the importance of
taking care of their teeth. It’s also nice that Dora and
Spongebob are some of my kids favorite characters.

Egg-citing Easter Egg Hunt!!!!!!Rachel Rockwell, Bubbly Nature Creations
It’s not Easter yet, but who says that you have to wait until Easter to have an egg
hunt? My husband and I decided that this year we would plan on having one early!!!
We went to Walmart to get all of our supplies. While there, we saw this Easter display
for Colgate toothbrushes and toothpaste for kids. What a great idea to include in our
Egg hunt or for an Easter basket! Colgate has cute Dora the Explorer and Sponge
Bob Squarepants toothbrushes. My girls LOVE Dora. The littlest one can even sing
the song! They also have some really great tooth paste varieties for kids too!
