MAD COW THEATRE is founded on the belief that the Theatre is a dynamic and powerful means of social understanding, as well as a hugely entertaining art form. Through the combination of passionate, skillful acting and compelling, insightful writing, nurtured by an attentive and ever-changing process, Mad Cow presents entertaining works of Theatre to an ever-widening audience–promoting, enhancing and celebrating the human condition through art.

Mad Cow Theatre is supported in part with public funds from the United Arts campaign and by State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, The Florida Arts Council, The National Endowment for the Arts, The Downtown Development Board, and Orange County Government through the Arts & Cultural Affairs Program. A Great Nation Deserves Great Art!

Mad Cow Theatre is a 501(c)3 organization and welcomes all donations including funds, materials, time and goodwill. We are especially delighted when audience members bring others to share the theatrical experience.

Mad Cow Theatre has forged many alliances and made many friends. This endeavor would not be possible without the generous spirit, passion and goodwill of the following individuals and organizations.

Piper is currently starring in multiple projects by local film makers, and regional commercials as well as writing, directing, and producing short films of her own.LINDA ROMANELLO (Stage Manager) is a recent graduate from UCF with a Theatre BFA in Stage Management. She began her theatre career at University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), Department of Theatre Dance and Film. COLLECTED STORIESCARSON SCOTT (Sound Designer) has served as the audio engineer for this year’s Orlando Cabaret Festival and was the Sound Designer for Dreamgirls. Other design credits include: As You Like It, Allegro (Lyric Stage Co., Boston), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and The Diary of Anne Frank (Arizona Repertory Theatre, Tucson). After designing Collected Stories, Carson and his beautiful fiancée, Megan, will be moving to Tucson, Arizona where he will begin a new job at the University of Arizona.

EMILY SMITH (Costume Designer) celebrates her sixth show this season with Mad Cow. Her costume, prop, and scenic work has been seen across Central Florida and New England theatres and theme parks. She fondly remembers designs for Cabaret (Annie Russell Theatre), Around the World in 80 Days (Hippodrome State Theatre), Is He Dead? (Theater at Monmouth), The Mad Pirate and the Mermaid (Shakespeare & Company), and of course most recently Mrs Warren’s Profession and Enchanted April, both here with Mad Cow. That being said, perhaps her greatest accomplishment was being honored with a Fred Stone Award for her stage debut as a silently disapproving waitress in This is How it Goes. It was a memorable 45 seconds, and she’s stayed safely offstage ever since.

KAREL K. WRIGHT (Ruth Steiner) Mad Cow Audiences may remember Karel as Mrs. Graves in Enchanted April, Mrs. Hardcastle in She Stoops to Conquer, Mrs. Higgins in My Fair Lady and Lavinia in The Heiress. Karel was Mattie Fae in August: Osage County at American Stage, Claire Castle in Kiss the Moon Kiss the Sun at the Banyan Theatre, Mrs. Bradman in High Spirits (with Gerogia Engle) at TheatreZone . Karel is a proud member of Actors Equity Association and received her BFA from the University of Minnesota and MFA from the University of Illinois with additional training at The American Conservatory of Theatre in San Francisco. Karel would like to thank her brother Dan for his unwavering support. www.karelkwright.com
