Policy
➔ National Climate Agreement 2019 → 49% GHG reduction by 2030 (49Mt CO2) … use of batteries (renewable), electricity, green hydrogen, solar power, renewable fuels such as Power-to-X and synthetic fuels and sustainable biofuels (§ 2.3) // … The focus of the application of funds will be on … electrolysis of water (green hydrogen), electrification, CCU, circular processes, better use of residual streams and green gas and thermal decoupling… (§ 3.3.2) // … captured carbon dioxide may be able to contribute to the development of synthetic raw materials and fuels (such as Steel2chemicals) and the ability to realise negative emissions … CCU is expected to make up a significant part of industrial production, for example through reuse of carbon as a raw material or in construction materials or plastics (§ 3.3.10) // CCU needs further research to be considered for SDE++ (§ D9)
➔ Top Sector Energie - Global Mission Energy Transition and sustainability Mission C : In 2050, raw materials, products and processes in the industry will be net climate neutral and at least 80% circular //
MMIP6 (Mutliannual Mission-driven Innovation Programme) - Creating circular industrial chains Followed by TKI New Gas (Top consortium for Knowledge and Innovation)
