POSSIBLE ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Some programs may have additional course requirements (Math, Science)

Note: MAP 4C and MCT 4C are different!

LEVELS ARE IMPORTANT!Look at the students below – one has lower grades at the University Level, the other has higher grades at the College Level.

Which student do you think would have a better chance of College acceptance?

Student A Student B

MAP4C1 – 92 % MHF4U1 - 75%

ENG4C1 - 94 % ENG4U1 - 77%

SPH4C1 - 88 % SPH4U1 - 72%

Page 6: College Assembly 2014 - Eastview Secondary Schooleas.scdsb.on.ca/Documents/College Assembly 2015 PowerPoint.pdf · Applications, Offers and Acceptances all handled electronically

LEVELS ARE IMPORTANT CONTD.

It depends on the school/program!

Some schools/programs do not distinguish between U or C level courses (such as the Powerline Technician program at Algonquin College)

Having U/M Level courses is not always an advantage!

Check with your school’s policy

Page 7: College Assembly 2014 - Eastview Secondary Schooleas.scdsb.on.ca/Documents/College Assembly 2015 PowerPoint.pdf · Applications, Offers and Acceptances all handled electronically

LET US KNOW …

How do I find out what the
