Classes with an 090, 095, or 098 course number are not credit-bearing; however, passing these courses provides students with the necessary prerequisite skills to
advance to 100-level courses. The SAT was revised in May 2016. EKU will accept the New SAT scores as well as scores that were valid in AY 2015-16. A KYOTE placement test score will be guaranteed as an indicator of college readiness for 12 months from the test date. The COMPASS exam is being phased out by the Kentucky Department of Education, as well as the Kentucky Community & Technical Colleges System. The exam will
not be given by Kentucky high schools after June 30, 2016; KCTCS will stop using the assessment on December 31, 2016. COMPASS test scores will be guaranteed as an indicator of college readiness for 12 months from the test date.
