College In Colorado Brings Career and College Planning to Your Region
During the 2017-18 school year, College In Colorado (CIC) will facilitate three workshop opportunities in your region – each offered twice in different locations. Workshops focus on specific steps for implementing Individual Career and Academic Plans (ICAP) and allow attendees to dig deeper into each topic, review data reporting strategies and go over lesson plans. √ Money 101 Financial Literacy Courses
and Facilitator System:
Discover the psychology of money and the
role of the head and heart in making
financial decisions. Take control of your
budget and explore the Money 101 facilitator
system to track your progress.

(ETPL) and Industry Pathways:
Learn how to navigate a list of training
providers, programs, locations and potential
eligibility funding opportunities.
√ Career Assessments and Exploration
Methods:
Learn about valuable tools, including the
Interest Profiler, Career Cluster Survey and
Transferrable Skills Checklist. The workshop
features a special focus on transferrable
skills and how to upload them to a resume.

Explore top job pathways in the IT, Health
and Construction industries.
√ Scholarship Searches and Tracking
Features:

Pathway Selection and Planning: As you help
your students/clients chart their path forward,
we'll show you how to use CollegeInColorado.org
tools and resources for the following case
studies:
• An adult in career transition
• A high school student contemplating the
military
• An adult without a high school diploma
considering returning to college, and more!
Day Two: Pulling it All Together
• College Application Month (CAM): In this
segment, learn how to be effective in
planning CAM activities and furthering the
state’s postsecondary attainment goals.
• Individual Career and Academic Plan
(ICAP): ICAPs on CollegeInColorado.org

career and education exploration and
