ATLANTA COMMUNITY CLUB SCHOLARSHIP

AMOUNT: Each year at least two $500 scholarships will be awarded

MARTY DAMROW MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

(PMHC) and who has been an employee of PMHC for a minimum of one year;

student at a college, university, technical, or vocational school program leading to a certificate or degree in a medically

related field of study.

PHELPS COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION NONTRADITIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

3) Be at least 25 years of age as of February 28th;

4) Be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours per semester;

5) Be working toward an undergraduate or associate degree;

Financial need is the prime requisite. Previous recipients of this scholarship may reapply provided they maintain a

cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. An applicant may only receive the award up to four (4) years. Any student who

has an immediate family member presently serving on the PCCF Board of Directors or employed by the PCCF is ineligible

for this scholarship. Number of recipients and amount varies from year to year depending upon the fund's annual earnings.


PHELPS COUNTY HIGH DEMAND JOBS SCHOLARSHIP

AMOUNT: Varies

ELIGIBILITY: 1) Be a graduate or graduating senior of any high school or have achieved a GED;

2) Plan to enroll or be a current student at any college, technical or trade school;

3) Have a GPA of 2.0 if currently enrolled in school;

4) Must maintain a GPA of 2.0 during the scholarship period;

5) Must be willing to sign an agreement with PCDC stating that, upon completion of the educational process, the student

will return to Phelps County and gain successful employment. (Students who do not return to Phelps County will be

responsible for repayment of the scholarship grant in full.)

6) Must be enrolled, at least, as a half-time student. (6 hours or more)

SELECTION CRITERIA:

1) Preference may be given to Phelps County residents or students who are graduating from or have graduated from a

Phelps County High School;

2) Preference will be given to students planning to return, live and work in Phelps County in one of the following ‘high

demand’ skilled trade areas:

a. Manufacturing/production trades

b. Agriculture related trades

c. Constructions and maintenance trades

d. Medical fields

3) Preference will be given to students who select a technical or trade program of study (consisting of 2 years or less) as

opposed to a bachelor’s degree program;

ELIGIBILITY: APPLICANT MUST MEET ONE OF THESE THREE CONDITIONS:

1) A graduate of any Phelps County high school enrolled at an Evangelical Lutheran Church of America seminary OR

2) A graduate of Bertrand High School who has completed at least two years of undergraduate studies leading to a degree

in a medical field displaying financial need OR

3) A graduate of Bertrand High School pursuing a two-year or four-year degree in the field of agriculture displaying

financial need.

Priority for selection is in the order listed above. If recipient is in seminary or a medical field, payment is made during the

first semester. If recipient is in the agricultural field, payment is made during the second semester. Any student whose parent

presently serves on the PCCF Board of Directors or is employed by the PCCF is ineligible for this scholarship. Financial
