recyclable material and make a plan for the future of this material.

You could do a fundraiser, competition, or even just donations by using your material and producing something worth using.

Our projectAt first our team decided to recycle Styrofoam. After we researched, we found that it is difficult to make

something useful with Styrofoam, so our team decided to recycle aluminum products instead.

Our team got together and after some discussion we chose to do a aluminum can drive.

Our project (continued)We ran a can drive before and after the winter break, and

it was a success.

Also before we started, our team decided to donate the money earned from the can drive to a good cause.

After discussion we came down to 2 choices: St. Jude and the Angelman Foundation.

The angelman foundationThe Angelman Foundation is a foundation that treats

kids who have autism.

Angelman’s Syndrome is a disease that causes someone to have frequent seizures, uncontrollable laughter, and little idea of emotion.

InspirationWe chose the Angelman Foundation because a team

member of ours, Zack, has a nephew who is affected by this disease.

Also, since this disease is similar to Autism, donating to this cause would be a huge step in curing Autism.
