Italo and Itala are the result of our constant focus on the well-being of our animals, the pride in our commitment. To achieve this result, we started from source: our calves are born in Italy under our direct control. We then rear them, taking care of the environment and their living conditions, their feed, ensuring they have lots of space where they can socialise. We care for them individually with the utmost dedication.

Abbiamo scelto di coltivare in proprio cereali e leguminose per assicurare il meglio ad Italo ed Itala. Controlliamo tutte le fasi di produzione dei mangimi, consapevoli così di poter determinare con precisione i migliori regimi alimentari per i fabbisogni dei nostri vitelli.

We chose to grow our own cereals and legumes to ensure the very best for Italo and Itala. We monitor all the stages of feed production, so that we can fine tune the best diet to meet the needs of our calves.

THE SAN DONÀ FARM IS SURROUNDED BY COUNTRYSIDE AND THE FIELDS WHERE THE CROPS ARE GROWN WHICH ARE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF ITALO AND ITALA’S DIET. FOOD AS A SOURCE OF WELL-BEING.

Per completare il controllo dell’intero ciclo dell’alimentazione, abbiamo realizzato la Centrale del Latte, all’interno del Centro di Barcon di Vedelago. Nello stabilimento produciamo una specifica polvere di latte, la nostra formula ideale per Italo ed Itala. Partiamo da materie prime lattiero-casearie, sfarinati vegetali, ingredienti e composti oligominerali funzionali. La completiamo con una miscela di oli e grassi di natura vegetale e animale, appositamente bilanciata, un mix ideale per una corretta alimentazione.

To complete the check on the entire food cycle, we have set up the Central Dairy inside the Barcon di Vedelago Centre. In this facility, we produce a specific milk powder, our ideal formula for Italo and Itala. We start with the raw milk-dairy products, plant-based flours, ingredients and functional trace element compounds. We complete it with a mixture of carefully balanced oil and animal and plant fats; an ideal mix for a correct diet.

To rear Italo and Itala more effectively, we have focused on research, implementing modern systems for processing the raw feed materials. In the Arcade facility, our harvests, which have been pre-selected with cropping methods, are processed with the utmost care.

Sfarinati o fiocchi di cereali, leguminose, ognuno attentamente dosato e miscelati per le necessità specifiche dei nostri allevamenti, con controlli continui nei nostri laboratori. Ogni collaboratore cura il minimo dettaglio per garantire il miglior nutrimento possibile ai nostri vitelli.

Per Italo ed Itala investiamo nella ricerca. Il loro benessere è il nostro benessere. Nel Centro di Ricerca di Barcon, attraverso progetti mirati, collaboriamo con prestigiose Università Italiane per garantire il bilanciamento della dieta ottimale ed il monitoraggio continuo dell’alimentazione. It is here that the drying cycle is carried out where the feed is stabilised to inhibit the growth of parasites or to prevent changes which could compromise the natural goodness. Flour or cereal flakes and legumes are all carefully dosed and mixed for the specific needs of our herds with continuous checks in our laboratories. Every worker takes care of even the most minor detail to guarantee the best nutrition possible for our calves.

In the Barcon research centre, we work with prestigious Italian universities, through targeted projects, to guarantee the best dietary balance and continual monitoring of the feed. We, therefore, ensure the finest nutrients, pioneering nutraceuticals: we usethe preventive effects of the principles of nutrition to keep the animals in the best of health, preventing diseases.

Our production system can be shown as life’s clock: it shows the cycles of time which advance but also return to the starting point, keeping us in tune with nature. We start from the land and return to the land, respecting its times and rhythms, as nature dictates, rooted in the culture of our district, committed to enhancing its biodiversity, history and traditions.

Abbiamo superato il concetto di smaltimento, in una nuova visione, più rispettosa dell’ambiente: trasformiamo per ottenere nuove risorse. Un esempio è l’innovativo impianto di Moriago della Battaglia, dove si realizza un sistema di trattamento biologico tra i più avanzati, ma allo stesso tempo semplice nei suoi concetti. La prima fase consiste nella separazione dei solidi dalle parti liquide. I fluidi ottenuti vengonotrattati mediante processi biologici, favoriti dall’ossidazione dell’aria, ad opera di microrganismi che degradano i componenti disciolti. Il trattamento viene poi completato con la fase di chiarificazione, per ottenere un fluido limpido idoneo al lavaggio di piazzali o per il convogliamento ai corsi d’acqua.

We have solved the concept of disposal, with a new vision, that is more respectful towards the environment so that we obtain new resources through transformation. An example of this is the innovative Moriago della Battaglia facility, where a cutting-edge biological processing system has been implemented, but with a very simple concept. The first stage consists of separating the solids from the liquid part. The fluids obtained are processed via biological processes, boosted by air oxidation, thanks to micro-organisms which break down the dissolved components. The treatment is then completed with the clarification stage, to obtain a clear fluid which can be used to wash down the yards or allowed to run off into water courses.

The solid part will be used as a natural fertiliser for agricultural use, thus avoiding fertilisation with synthetic components that could make the soil sterile in the long term. we remain faithful to the principles of conservation.

Un sistema informativo evoluto consente un completo controllo di tutte le fasi. Abbiamo posizionato per ogni singola mezzena, un microchip nella catena di trasporto che gestisce le informazioni relative alla tracciabilità, origine, stalla, marchiatura, peso, qualità della carne, requisiti OGM free. E’ la soluzione ottimale per pianificare la produzione in base agli ordinativi ed alle specifiche, come il tipo di taglio da effettuare, il cliente finale, la destinazione, il trasporto, le certificazioni. Un software gestionale avanzato è il cuore e l’intelligenza del sistema: rende disponibili ad ogni operatore le informazioni necessarie per lo svolgimento corretto del proprio lavoro. Specifiche etichette (QRCode) consentono di ricevere le informazioni sulle successive operazioni da effettuare, garantendo il massimo grado di sicurezza.
