New Curriculum Update
Whole School
The New Curriculum asks us to use the Head, Heart and Hand dispositions as part of our daily lives. Our challenge is to make sure we are fully aware of them and the impact they have on us and those we are called to serve.
Head ? Be At t ent ive, Be Int ell igent , Be Reasonable, Be Responsible
How am I connecting with the Head disposition and what is it asking of me?
Am I being attentive to everything around me?
Am I using my intelligence to make positive choices that will enable me to have a closer relationship with God?
Am I responding to the call to holiness?
Many blessings,
Sharon ShahoudReligious Education Coordinator
TEACHER LEARNING
Last week the teachers engaged in Professional Learning with our Digital Technology Teacher Educator from CEDP. We learnt about our new robotics and coding. We will be implementing our new ideas in the learning spaces over the coming weeks and term.
Welcome to the Corpus Christi Community:
Trizten in Year 3
Leon in Year Year 5
On Tuesday 20t h Oct ober - Term 4, Week 2 we will be holding a School Fun Run Crazy Colour Day as our major fundraising event. We?re doing it to raise much needed money for t he purpose of revam ping and im proving t he play spaces out on t he playground.
How Does My Child Fundraise?
Firstly, go to schoolfunrun.com.au and create a student profile page. Everything to do with your fundraising revolves
around this page.
Students who raise just $10 will be able to choose a prize! The more they raise, the better their reward ? don?t forget
to check these out in the sponsorship form! We have educated students on the dangers of door knocking without
adult supervision, and we encourage you to reiterate this at home. The great thing about online fundraising is that you
can share the link to your child?s profile with friends and family via email, SMS and Social media.
Yesterday, Tuesday 25th August, we launched this fundraising campaign and here are some statistics as of Wednesday
morning:
- Kindergarten Brown- Miss Davis? class have raised the most money, closely followed by Three Gold- Mrs
Thomson?s class.
- Kindergarten Gold- Mrs Rich?s class and Three Emerald- Mr Smith?s class have the most number of students
who have created an online profile.
Keep up the great work and remember to ask if you have any further questions or inquires about the fundraising or
about the day.
Please note: Due to restrictions imposed by NSW Health in relation to COVID-19 parents and spectators are not permitted
before, during or after the event. We will be uploading and live streaming highlights of the event. More information about
what the children wear and need to bring on the day will be published closer to the event.
Promoting HarmonyThis week all students in Kindergarten through to Year 6 have started a Promoting Harmony unit of work. Teachers have designed learning sequences that focus on our schools 4C?s- Care, Compassion, Cooperation and Communication and the theme of KINDNESS. Three afternoons a week all students will participate in a 20 minute session that explores the above themes and how these can look in the classroom and on the playground.

please contact the school Office and further advice will be given.
We also know that all Transition and Orientation programs are on hold until further

We thank you in advance for your support of your child's transition to Corpus Christi during these unprecedented
