Participation in Graduation Ceremony

A cap and gown is not required for participation in the school / district graduation ceremony. If a student

chooses to wear a cap and gown, it is required that the gown be procured from the supplier provided by

the school to assure a uniform look and the dignity of the ceremony. If a student chooses to not wear the

suggested cap and gown a strict dress code will be enforced. Copies of that dress code are available upon

request from the ASB office. Students may request a hardship waiver for the cap and gown should they

choose to wear a cap and gown and cannot afford one. Please see the ASB office for a company waiver

request between April 1 and May 15 of the school year. Participation in the graduation is subject to

student compliance with rules and regulations provided by the school and or school district.
