Single line diagram
SLD uses one screen only Zoom in/out, Pan, Freeze
Two different voltage levels One voltage level in one row Automatic setting of default
scale Symbols for MV process
Local/Remote switch / bay / station
“All” MV apparatuses, ANSI and IEC style
Measurements Free text tags
Configurable colors, fonts, line styles

SLD Editor Tool
Configuration of IED is retrieved by means of a Connectivity Package, which can include also the Single-Line-Diagram Still it’s freely configurable Predefined set of IEC and
ANSI symbols
Simple and easy to use Guides You to do logically
relevant configuration
IEC 61850-6 (SCL) import/export of SLD information

Alarms
Alarm list with following columns: Date & Time Bay (from substation structure) Device (from substation structure) Object text (from d attribute of data) Status (from the event handling
definition for the data) Alarms are divided to two groups,
persisting and fleeting alarms based on current status of an alarm. Alarms can be acknowledged one by one as all of at once.
Filtering per bay, voltage level Filtering can be done automatically
from the substation structure tree Audio alarm supported for web
browsers
- 12
-
Events
Event list page with columns: Date & Time Bay (from substation structure) Device (from substation
structure) Object text (from d attribute of
data) Event (from the event handling
definition for the data
Filtering can be applied per bay, voltage level
Filtering can be done automatically from the substation structure tree

- 14
-
Measurements
All measurements available in IED can be displayed
Measurement display is configurable Scaling factor Texts Units Configuration can be
retrieved also from ConPkg or SCL files
- 15
-
Disturbance record upload
The protection and control device generates disturbance records that can be uploaded from the HMI for further analysis.
Supported format is COMTRADE via IEC 61850-8-1
- 16
-
Busbar coloring
Busbar coloring needs no additional configuration!
4 different modes: Powered/Unpowered based
Different voltage level
Powered/Unpowered parts
Earthed part
Voltage level based Voltage source based
Incoming/Outgoing
No busbar coloring
Freely configurable colors

Parameters setting
Simple, but visual parameter setting tool Parameters coming from Conn.
Pkgs Visible parameters are to be
filtered on configuration phase
Changed parameters are indicated as bold
Configurable descriptions Features to ease the use and
avoid mistakes: Changed parameters bolded
after modifications Ranges, units are shown and
checked run-time
- 18
-
Multilanguage support
- 19
-
System diagnostics
Communication structure tree view shows quickly the health of secondary systems
Each object has mode detailed diagnostic information available
- 20
-
User Management
Four different type of users Viewer Operator Engineer Administrator
User management is done from Web HMI Add user Change Password Administration of existing users
For security reasons Default password has to be
changed Certain Password length is
required
- 21
-
… and more
Zoom in/out Ctrl +/-
Pan screen Alt + mouse
Several browser windows can used run in large/multi-monitor setups
Use browser features like Favorites to navigate to Your stations
And of course… Application can be accessed from anywhere
Fully web-based – real thin client
- 22
-
On-line diagnostics
Web server for diagnostic information
- 23
-
Other Features
Value manipulation facilities Linear and step-wise linear scales Inverting of signals
High performance on the gateway function – protocol mapping is done on the start-up phase, not on run-time
Proven protocol quality and interoperability SNTP time synchronization support (client and server)

Configuration Work Flow
Define project and it’s basic
settings
Create communication structure for
the station
Own IP addressUser management
Add protocols, communication lines, sub networks …Add IEDs, using ConPkg tools or Generic IEDs. Copy/paste “type” solution
Finalize substation structure
Add/modify substations, voltage levels, bays, if not retrieved from ConPkgs/SCL files. Finalize “type” solutions
Finalize single-line diagram
Fine-tune layout, connect bays to busbars, add descriptive texts, choose coloring, add extra objects, define power source.
Customize Alarm & Event
handling
Customize IED parameter
settings
Project specific event and alarm handling can be defined for any signal. Default handling can be modified/removed /new handling added
To keep HMI simple, a subset of available parameters can be selected to be shown
Configure NCC links
Add slave protocol lines, assign addresses. Review / finalize with NCC.
Upload configuration
Upload the configuration to the device. Ready!
