Schrade Sure-Lock folding knife SCH503 combines technology, function and class

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (June 15, 2016) - The new Schrade Sure-Lock folding knife, modelSCH503, combines light-weight styling with top-quality materials and superior design to create atough, dependable and classy-looking knife for pocket, belt or compartment.

The SCH503's opened length is 8.5 inches; blade length is 3.64 inches. The high quality AUS-8high-carbon stainless steel drop point blade comes sharp and is designed to hold an edge, but alsoto re-sharpen easily.

The knife's ergonomic handle is built to fit all hand sizes. Handle construction is super-toughaluminum and incorporates non-slip rubber inserts in strategic locations to enhance comfort andgrip. The blade has ambidextrous thumb knobs and thumb ramp jimping. Other features includea streamlined, tight-grip pocket clip and a lanyard hole for optional lanyard.

The knife's proprietary Schrade Sure-Lock system provides a rock-solidlocking mechanism to keep the bladefirmly in place and withstand at least300 pounds of force, which isconsidered to be among the industry'shighest force ratings for folding knives.

The Sure-Lock system'sdisengagement slide activator isconveniently located on the blade endof the handle's left side to allow foreasy one-hand release with a swipe ofthe thumb, yet remains totally safeand locked until the user engages it.

The design affords easy one-handoperation of opening and closing theknife.

The SCH503 is available in threemodels, SCH503, SCH503B andSCH503RB, each varying by color.The SCH503 has a silver aluminum

finish and black rubber inserts. Model SCH503B is a smoke color aluminum handle with darkgray rubber inserts. Model SCH503RB is black anodized aluminum with red rubber inserts.
