EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

1998-1999: Assigned to C Battery, 1-15 Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, 8th US Army, and Republic of Korea. Served as Fire Support Officer responsible for the coordination and execution of tactical artillery fires, air delivered munitions, close air support and naval gunfire. Supported company level fire support planning and execution of training in support of the defense of the Republic of Korea. Ensure digital and radio communication systems were functional, effective and integrated into digital fire support communications architecture. Served as Fire Direction Officer responsible for the technical and tactical direction of field artillery fires, digital and radio fire direction communications infrastructure. Supervised and managed the training, readiness and operations of a five Soldier team during training and readiness exercises. Additional duties included Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Defense (NBC) officer responsible for the detection of chemical threats, training and readiness of an NBC decontamination team, logistical support to detection and decontamination operations. Responsible for the training readiness of a 40 Soldier platoon as well as all maintenance, administrative support and logistical requirements of a 120 Soldier field artillery battery. 2000-2001: Assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 2nd Infantry Division Artillery, 8th US Army, Republic of Korea. Served as Battery Executive officer responsible for the maintenance, logistic support, human resource management, communication, and administrative support to the 2nd Infantry Division Artillery headquarters. Supervised the accountability and human resource management of 120 Soldiers and the maintenance of over 50 vehicles. Responsible for the training management and readiness of all assigned personnel as well as planning, scheduling and resourcing training requirements. Assigned as Human Resource Director (A/CofS, G1). Responsible for the human resource management of 700 personnel in Germany and more than 2000 personnel during deployment to Iraq in support of combat operations in Operation Iraqi Freedom. 2005-2007: Assigned to 2nd Battalion 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division, United States Army Europe. Served as a battalion task force fires support officer deployed to Iraq in support of combat operations in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Later assigned as Commander, Alpha Battery, 2nd Battalion 3rd Field Artillery Regiment with responsibility to conduct combat operations in Sinjar, Tal Afar and Ramadi, Iraq. Responsible for the manning, training, equipping and operations of a 100 Soldier battery assigned duties as a motorized rifle company. Conducted partnered operations with Iraqi Police and Iraqi Army while additionally advising and assisting the development of the capabilities of those forces. Maintained a Secret clearance.

2007-2009: Assigned to United States Army National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California. Assigned duties as Observer Controller for field artillery battery mission readiness exercises. Responsible for coaching, teaching and mentoring battery level leaders on Army doctrine, effective techniques and procedures and planning considerations for deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan. Later assigned to serve as Senior Analyst in the Tactical Analysis and Feedback Facility (TAFF). Tasked to analyze and submit requests for changes to scheduled exercise injects and planned enemy activity (simulated). Gathered qualitative and quantitative data for use in After Action Reviews. Assigned as Assistant Fire Support Coordinator with duty as Operations Advisor to the Afghan Operations Coordination Center (OCCR) in Kandahar Afghanistan. Provided coaching, training and mentorship to Afghan officers enabling them to develop short and long range plans, to analyze data, to plan manage and coordinate the execution of joint multinational operations and to develop, prepare and update operational reports and returns. Gathered qualitative and quantitative data on personnel performance and provided recommendations to the OCCR Commander. Conducted a qualitative and quantitative analysis of the strategic level OCC systems and provided recommendations with regards to work load, man hours, cost comparisons, and budget management to both the OCC commanders and the Ministry of Defense. Conducted a force protection vulnerability assessment of the installation and developed the necessary physical security infrastructure, plans and procedures necessary to deny enemy forces the ability to decisively engage OCCR personnel in an effective manner. 2011-2013: Assigned to 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Assigned as the Brigade Fire Support Officer. Responsible for the integration of all fire support assets into the brigade’s combined arms, joint and multinational operations. Later assigned as a field artillery battalion operations officer (S3) and Security Force Advise and Assist Team Commander in Afghanistan’s Paktika Province. Final assignment was to serve as the interim Brigade S3 for redeployment, reception and reintegration operations. Supervised the development of short and long range plans necessary to redeploy and reintegrate the brigade and to return it to its pre-deployment mission command configuration. Maintained a Secret clearance.

2013-2015: Assigned to 3rd Brigade Combat Team (R/P), 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York. Assigned duties as Task Force Executive Officer responsible for administrative support services, hiring, directing, supervising, monitoring and evaluating performance metrics of all assigned staff officers. Executed measures necessary to plan, manage and coordinate the execution of the annual budget. Supervised the development of short and long range plans and budget estimates concerning programs and operations. Developed recommendations for the elimination of unnecessary work, redirecting of efforts and changing in staffing. Dedicated considerable time establishing internal administrative control procedures, providing technical direction and exercising final authority over work performed by the task force staff.
