ELEMENTARY CAMPS YOUTH MISSIONS TRIPS & ADVENTURE CAMPS

STUDENT MINISTRY RETREATS

Connecting The Dots June 12-16day camp • cost: $225Who said kids can’t impact the world for Jesus? Since 2010, we have seen God use the smallest members of our community to make the greatest impact. This week is all about teaching kids how to be the hands and feet of Jesus, AND THEY TOTALLY GET IT! They will also experience times of mission, music, games, and quiet moments in the journal room. Join us for an amazing week!

Autism Week June 26-June 29day camp • cost: $225One of our favorite weeks of camp! Campers will discover God’s creation by exploring the creeks, lakes, and forests at The Refuge. We will also enjoy canoeing, fishing, swimming, and crafts. Each day will begin with devotion time and learning about Jesus. We cater to the needs of your child and do everything we can to ensure that they have a fun, Christ-filled experience. We will accept older campers as well for this special camp!

Creation Discovery July 17-21 day camp • cost: $225Romans Ch. 1 reads “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities- his eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen.” At the Refuge children will discover God exploring the forest and streams, catching a fish, or learning how pine cones open and close. Campers will discover how God’s creation has been designed with a purpose and that they are the most amazing part of it. This camp will end with an overnight camp out on Thursday night with stargazing and hayrides.

Creation Discovery July 16-21overnight camp • cost: $350rising 3rd–completed 5thWe are very excited to begin this new tradition of overnight camps for elementary students. During the day time they will experience much of the same activities as those attending the Creation Discovery day camp. However, once the day campers leave,

students will have the chance to experience The Refuge after hours. Students will enjoy hayrides, star-gazing, singing around the campfire, going on a night hike

and more. Lodging is bunk style in one of our early 1900 farm houses, fully equipped with A/C.

Erasing The Lines June 19-23youth group registration only • cost: $225Join us for our 14th annual Erasing The Lines summer mission project now impacting Lenoir, Greene, and Pitt counties. Students will team up with members from other churches, and together serve these communities with the heart of Christ. Lodging for this event once again will be held at Rochelle Middle School where all meals are provided. Some of the projects include VBS in Carver Courts, gleaning and delivering food, visiting the elderly, painting, light construction projects and more. Each day will include lunch time devotions, small group discussions, and powerful evening worship. Leaders may contact Lennie at The Refuge to join the action. We look forward to watching Jesus use you to impact eastern NC.

Small Town Hookerton July 9-14 Farmville July 23-28cost: $350This mission week is designed to impact some of the smaller towns close to The Refuge with the love of Christ. We will spend time praying through each community, serving those who are in need, and giving value to smaller communities who are out of the public spotlight. Students will be divided into small groups, becoming like a family as they serve others, and spend time together in the Bible. Lodging and meals for this event will be at The Refuge. We provide bunk style lodging in one of our early 1900 farm homes. Each day will consist of worship, lunch-time devotions, work projects, and small group time. We are extremely excited about this new tradition and look forward to serving Christ with you.

Adventure Week June 26-30cost: $350 • middle School: completed 5th-8th • high School: completed 9th-12th

If you enjoy non-stop action and adventure then this is the week for you. We will go through the group challenge course on Monday, followed by two days of canoeing and camping along the Contentnea Creek and the Neuse

River. Campers will learn how to cook over an open fire, work as a team, and how to grow in their personal walk with

Christ. Lodging will be at The Refuge in one of our early 1900 farm houses in bunk style beds with boys and girls being in separate houses. There is truly nothing like discovering the greatest adventure of all, following Jesus, while experiencing an

adventure of your own. Limited to first 30 campers!

Cultivate: Youth Leader Training January 26-28, 2017cost: $98 • covers lodging, (5) meals and program materialsCultivating is a very old gardening principal that involves removing weeds from the garden and loosening the soil to optimize the retention and penetration of air, water and nutrients. The Refuge is providing a similar opportunity for YOUTH LEADERS to get replenished. Cultivate is a time for removing distractions, expectations and sharing the fullness of life Jesus offers. There is time for worship, sharing, and space for God to penetrate our soul. Teaching will focus on areas that youth leaders struggle with and breakout groups will give an intimate setting to share thoughts

and encouragement. Cultivate starts Thursday night and ends Saturday at noon, but attendees are invited to come early or stay late to relax and rejuvenate. Register at www.tinyurl.com/Cultivate2017

Confirmation RetreatMarch 10-12, 2017cost: $110 • covers lodging, (5) meals and program materialsConfirmation is a time for students to hear about the God who loves them and how that impacts their life. The Refuge has crafted a Confirmation Retreat for churches

to bring their students and mentors to be engaged in with interactive teaching sessions.

Together we will work through the 6 sessions:God our Creator (Purpose), Jesus our Redeemer (Sin & Redemption), Holy Spirit our Sustainer (Power), Being a Follower (Living as a Christian), Creed (What We Believe) & Taking A Step (Making a Decision)

SOW Rite: Youth Mission Weekend November 3-5, 2017cost: $110 • covers lodging, (5) meals and program materialsThe Refuge invites youth groups to bring their students for a weekend to SOW (Serve Others Well)! Teaming up with area ministries, groups will be sent to a variety of mission opportunities. We will learn what it means to be the hands & feet of Christ in many different ways. As we sow seeds, we may never see the final crop, but we will know we made a difference. Groups arrive Friday for program, head out to serve on Saturday, have a program Saturday night and worship on Sunday.
