In a highschool sketchbook, was merged the mythical unicorn with a tiger... thus creating an amal-gam that represents two natures: Idealistic Fantasy and Fierce Reality—TIGRIKORN. He treads the line between competing worlds and ideals; a bit of a misfi t, his adventures are chronicled here.
Welcome to Tigrikorn #32: The Super Summer Splash Special!
This issue has student work from the Summer 2005 Cartooning Classes at Kaleidoscope School of Art in Barrington, IL (4th-5th grade and JrHi thru High School).
Except for my artwork on the cover, a brief feature on page 3, and Sketchbook Leakage, this Special Summer Splash Edition is devoted entirely to Student Comics. They can also be seen online at:
www.tigrikorn.com

In this special Summer Splash issue, I have taken a break on the Tigrikorn regular story and present a one-time Cast of Character page to bring readers up to speed on who’s who in the Tigrikorn saga which can been read (in large part) at www.tigrikorn.com.

Besides these main characters there are Cyrus’ mom, Granpa Bijan and the mysterious robot rider boy from yet another planet. He was rescued by our heroes from a crumbling alien robot that touched down outside of Chicago where our story takes place. Next issue of Tigrikorn, the adventure continues. Don’t miss it!
Tigrikorn: Born on planet Taegra, the home of a race
of Tiger-like humanoids, Tigrikorn’s mother was
Taegran royalty while his father was a member of the diplomatic corps from the neighboring planet Onooram on which lives an advanced society of Unicorn beings.
Orphaned at a young age, Tigrikorn was also an outcast on his mother’s planet and
became sensitive to the needs of the oppressed.
He came to see his role as that of destroying the rule
of tyrants.Tigrikorn’s incredible
strength, agility, stamina and speed make him a powerful foe. He also wields the mysteri-ous “Uni-Force”, an explosive and massively destructive blast that he never employs if inno-cent life might be in range.
Princess Taessa is Tigrikorn’s cousin. She’s also the grand daughter of the evil tyrant Nimrod Tarz whom Tigrikorn defeated. Taessa had long been part of the resistance movement against Tarz on planet Taegra before Tigrikorn defeated the despotic ruler.
At the fall of Nimrod’s rule, Taessa joined Tigrikorn’s team who was sent by the Unicorn Lord on a mission throughout the galaxy to thwart evil oppressors. Equipped with a telepor-tation rod, Taessa can transport the team instantly to any spot in the universe. She is also battle-tested and has natural strategic abilities.
Imagidragon and Cyrus:These two work as a team. Native to the Unicorn Planet Onooram, Imagidragon has the power to tap into the mental images and imagination of her bondling (in this case Cyrus) and transform him into virtually any hero or character that the partner can imagine. Because of his love of super-hero comics, Cyrus, a teen from Earth, has quite a host of heroes in his mind for Imagidragon to use.
He’s often a reluctant adventurer but his powers of stretching, shape-shifting and disguise can be quite useful.
Mert is a shape shifter from a planet the name of which I can’t pronounce but could be translated in Earth English as “Ker-plop”.
