Dear Church Family, Welcome to Bible Center! I am

glad that you have joined us. I hope that you sense you are among a group of people sincerely approaching the Lord together. The Apostle Peter is right, “To whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” As the old gospel hymn says, “We come

to the Father through Jesus the Son,” and we would add, drawn by the Holy Spirit of God at work in our midst. Thank you for being here today.

The Bible (our favorite book here at Bible Center) is a supernatural book. It includes stories of history and in-breakings of God’s power that altered the normal and the usual, showing God’s presence with power. But, the miracles are really clustered in several bundles that intrude upon an awful lot of the normal and usual—which feels very much like our days.

Elijah and Elisha and the days of Jesus were two clusters that showed God’s power. The miracle plagues in Exodus eventually launch the people

of God from Egypt. That is yet another cluster, and today we are right in the middle of the cluster. But what do the plagues mean to you and me? Today, we are next to the plagues to fi nd correcti on, training, and the encouragement of the scriptures (Romans 15:4).

Don’t miss next week! We are celebrati ng 15 faithful years in children’s ministry with Pastor Richard Thompson. Each week matt ers here! It is great to be a part of what God is doing.

Keep going,

Eric MountsS P
