    Synopsis For Final Portfolio: Comm231

    Story Title: The $nion

    Type of story:

Hard news story is the type of story. It is a report on the most important parts of the

     presentation.

    Topic/Focus:

The main bar is about recapping the events of the meeting. I found that they stressed

headlines and fact checking. I also tried to incorporate plenty of audience curiosity andhow they helped move the discussion forward. The J/ took nearly half of the time ofthe presentation so focusing on the audience also helped recap events and repeating keyconcepts that came up in the responses from Mc+raw and /ffonso.

    W/R techniues:

    F$R&

o Mc+raw and /ffonso appear throughout and I made an effort to relate everything

back to fact5checking and headlines. These were the main points and I wanted tostress them within my writing as /ffonso and Mc+raw stressed them within the presentation.

      4escripti-e #ead

o I described the atmosphere before the presentation to effectively place the reader

into the audience. It allowed me to hook the reader into the hard news aspect of the story.

    &ey 'le(ents:

o Repetition of key people and phrases was critical for sticking to my theme.

o Su+heads allowed me to pop out key ideas in each section.

*olitical Science (ajorso 7ven if you don:t necessarily care for the skills needed to present fake
