S-1 Administration

• Provides all administrative support to Command• What can they do for you:

– Adjutant-often the legal officer, protocol, etc..• Naval Correspondence issues• Legal questions• Proper protocol• Much more…jack-of-all-trades

– Assist with DTS, TAD, 1164s– Provide pay & entitlement info as necessary..briefs– Assist with admin needs of Mbrs and family

• Initial POC for any administrative support• Verification of service letters for housing/loans• Marine Corps Total Forces System (MCTFS/3270

– Updating RED, Depn information, SGLI, etc…

S-2 Intelligence

• Provides any intelligence require to Command• What can they do for you:

– Assist in determining if info is sensitive and able to be released (unclassified)..dates

– Command security expert – Clearance issues– Operational Security subject matter expert– May have additional training that could be helpful

• Force Protection training/Personal Security

S-3 Operations/Training

• Provides all planning and coordination required to operate and train a unit (the hub)

• What can they do for you:– Establish unit schedules

• Can provide available dates for family readiness trainings, predeployment briefs and family days and officially put them on unit schedules

S-4 Logistics & Supply

• Provides all logistical support and supply to equip command

• What can they do for you:– Logistics

• Coordination- gets the right item to the right people at the right time

• Motor transport- vehicle assets/drivers to support events• Embark- tracks and supports all deployment &

redeployment dates • Facilities issues

– Ground Supply• Manages the unit budget (O&M)/Green

– TAD, Family Readiness, 1164 etc, GCPC, purchases..• Servmart runs

S-5* Plans or Misc

• Two variations:– Future Plans or Everything else! (Wing)

• If Wing S-5:– Often SACO, Education Officer, FAO, etc..– Memorabilia

• Provide all communications support

• What can they do for you:– Assist with simple comm asset support

• Telephone landline/Blackberry/Computer/Printers• Low level trouble shooting

• What can the do for you:– Maintains the MSC budget– MSC FRO can relay specific fiscal law

questions to comptroller on your behalf
