A heartfelt welcome to all the nominees, friends and professional partners to the

Fourth Annual Concierge Choice Awards. As the president of the New York City

Association of Hotel Concierges, which represents so many individuals dedicated

to excellence in service, I know that we are motivated by a genuine desire to serve

and are committed to providing the best possible service to our visitors throughout

their stay. You, the nominees, have been chosen by our Concierge community as

the best of the best. Thank you for your dedication in creating and making our guest

experiences memorable. We value your partnership. Together, we will surpass our

guests’ expectations. Working together, we can collectively bring new and repeat

business to the “Capital of the World,” New York City, increasing the total number

of visitors from 45.5 to over 50 million.

Congratulations to the winners and nominees. You have earned the recognition.

This is your evening. Enjoy it.

PROMENADEAb out Ne w York SiNce 1934

Congratulations to the New York City Association of Hotel Concierges on

sponsoring the fourth annual Concierge Choice Awards. This unique event

brings together hospitality industry professionals with the concierge

community to recognize the many people who achieve excellence in guest

experiences.

As the publishers of City Guide and Promenade magazines, we are honored

and proud to be able to host the dinner and prepare this journal. Since

it contains the nominees and winners of the Concierge Choice Awards,

this book is a great resource for concierges to use as a reference.

The directory in the back provides hospitality industry contact infor-

mation to make booking easier. And this year there is a new website,

www.conciergechoiceawards.com, which lists the nominees, winners and

photos from past and present awards ceremonies.

We want to thank NYCAHC for creating this recognition program and we

are also pleased that this event supports Les Clefs d’Or Foundation and

the NYCAHC Charitable Fund.

Congratulations to the 2010 nominees and winners.

All my best,

David L. Miller

More than a mere coffee shop—more of an ice cream par-

lor on steroids—Serendipity is synonymous with fun. Since

1954, its menu of outrageous desserts—including their

signature frozen hot chocolate—and fun food, served in a

Manhattan townhouse amid exuberant Victorian decora-

tions, has charmed children and their parents, not to men-

tion celebrities from Andy Warhol to Beyoncé.

2009 Concierge Choice Award Winner. A mainstay for

Theatre District Italian food since opening in 2004, La

Masseria was honored by Esquire as one of “America’s

Best New Restaurants.” Since then they have

cultivated quite a captive audience and reservations can

be a little bit tricky but they hold certain tables until mid-

afternoon for concierge reservations. So, if a guest is

craving a pre-theatre Italian feast, this is the place! (Just

be sure to call ahead.)

Tony May of San Domenico fame has returned to the

contemporary-Italian scene with this theatrical Flatiron

space and a modern, American spin on Mediterranean

food and wine. The metamorphoses can be summed up

simply: it looks vastly different, but tastes very familiar.

OnBoard Tours’ NY See It All! Tour combines an over-

view of Manhattan with an interactive experience. They

use smaller, climate-controlled shuttle buses rather than

large coaches or double-decker buses—which means you

get to interact more with your tour guide, who hops off

with you at each stop. The tour departs daily at 8:30am,

10am, 12:30 & 3pm, and includes a boat ride to view the

Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, and more.
