ENVIRONMENTAL SENSORSEnvironmental sensors are designed to detect specific environmentalconditions (humidity, temperature, presence of a moving body andair quality) and suitable for use with all Vortice Vario models.These sensors can also be connected to the CR range of Variospeed controllers.

C HCS-HUMIDITY(code 12994)Measures ambient relative humidity (R.H.), and starts the Vortice Vario fan when the R.H. exceeds 65%.The sensor can also be wired to allow the unit to be switched on when the R.H. is below 65%, and incorporates an over-run timer (adjustable between 3 and 20 minutes).

C PIR-MOVEMENT DETECTOR(code 12998)Detects the presence of a moving body within its sensor range, and starts the fan automati-cally. The built-in over-run timer can be adjusted between 3 and 20 minutes.

C TIMER(code 12999)Adjustable over-run timer (adjustable between 3 and 20 minutes).

C TEMP-TEMPERATURE(code 12992)Measures ambient room temperature, and starts the Vortice Vario fan when the temperature exceeds the preset value. Once the temperature drops below the presetvalue, the unit will over-run for between 3 and 20 minutes (dependent on setting).

C SMOKE(code 12993)Measures the air quality, detecting the presence of cigarette smoke, odours and other pollutants, and starts the Vortice Vario fan when the concentration of pollutants exceeds the preset value. The unit will also over-run for between 3 and 20 minutes (dependent on setting).

Supply and install a CA-V0 in-line centrifugal extract fan for installationwithin duct applications or in ceilings as manufactured exclusively byVortice only for Vortice. All performance data should be third party IMQ(BEAB recognised equivalent) verified. The frame and body should bemanufactured from V0 plastic to provide maximum self-extinguishingproperties. The intake port should have an integral protection grille and aspecial grease collector. The motor should be a stainless steel ball bearing, shielded pole motor(30,000-hour guarantee), include a thermal cut out device, be capable ofoperating at an ambient temperature up to 50°C and be speedcontrollable (using an optional controller). The fan turbine should bebalanced directly onto the motor. Model should be available in 100mm,125mm, 150mm (dual speed), 200mm, 250mm and 315mm sizes(single speed), designed to fit standard duct diameters.

The fan should be class 1 insulatedand of of weather proof steel construction with anti-corrosion, polyesterresin protection, It should have an extract performance of 208.3 l/s infree air and have an inlet diameter of 170mm. The motor should be a ball bearing mounted induction motor designedto withstand high temperatures (approx. 200°C for long periods ofoperation. The motor should include a thermal cut out device and bespeed controllable by using the speed controller supplied. The turbineshould have an advanced blade design to reduce soot build up andbe protected by a circular anti-bird grille. It should be suppliedcomplete with fitting basee and steel safety cable for stable anchoring.
