November at 2pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Wodonga. Leaders and those who have completed Belbin Team training inventory are strongly encouraged to attend this session.

NATIONAL CHURCH LIFE SURVEY (NCLS) RESULTS The NCLS results are out and thank you for those who filled out these forms earlier in the year. Now that the results are out Pastor Brett Kennett will lead our parish through these results, reflecting on who we are and what some of our gifts are etc. This session will help us understand our current context at WLP. So, all members of the WLP are strongly encouraged to please make time to attend this session on Sunday 12

th November at 3pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Wodonga.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS WORKSHOP Professional Standards workshop will be happening at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Adams Street, JINDERA on Sunday 19

th November 2017, beginning at 11am.

Registration for this workshop will also be via the LCA Professional Standards website.

LLL NOTICE

The LLL advises that effective 1st

October 2017, the interest rate on at-call Savings Accounts has changed from 2.50% to 2.25% per annum. The reduction in interest rate is in response to historically low interest rates in Australia, which have led commercial financial institutions to lower the interest rates they now offer on term deposits. The LLL generates income to support the Lutheran Church of Australia – including its congregations, schools and aged care facilities – by investing funds in these term deposits. However, due to lower interest rates offered by commercial financial institutions, the LLL’s own deposit rate of 2.50% is no longer sustainable because the new funds we invest are not earning this rate. The LLL thanks depositors for your understanding of this rate adjustment, which will help ensure that long-term financial support to the LCA can be maintained. We also thank depositors for your ongoing support of the LLL through your LLL Savings Accounts, and thank God for the partnership this provides ‘together in mission’.

GETTING TOGETHER Let us not give up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but let

us ENCOURAGE one another (and all the more as you see the day approaching). Hebrews 10:25

The aim is to provide opportunities for members and friends to get together, to maintain relationships and to provide encouragement especially once we have moved from the current church location.
