During their meetings, students thought over

the themes developed in the short films




Led by three teachers and the director,

they planned all the steps of the short films

The double aim of the Project




- To think over the causes of some crucial themes: homophobia and anorexia





- To think over the causes of some crucial themes: homophobia and anorexia


- To learn the peculiarities of a movie, a way to voice one own’s view of the world




CARNE SOLA




The Plot

Antonio and Giulio are two 18 years old boys,

they are students of the same School

and realize to be attracted by each other




Giulio is more conscious, probably because

he works in a fishmarket with his family and

he uses to be responsible




The sea is the main place for their meetings

It’s the place of feelings




The film starts and ends with scenes on the sea

in a circular structure




Everyday life scenes in Bari: roads, seafront, market-square,

apartment blocks in the outskirts




Inner life of the characters into their houses




The School is the place where there are violent encounters with those

students with homophobe attitudes,

with prejudice, but It’s the place where

consciousness grows, too

The close-ups on the faces catch the heart of the characters




The panorama of Polignano a Mare is the background of

the tenderness, the delicacy, the gentleness and the force

of the development of the characters

In only one tracking shot, the different phases

of the life of Viola do not follow a

chronological sequence, to symbolize a perfect disorder

and do not accept the chronology life/death
