As many of you many of you may know, the Club Donatello Board of Directors consists of active Owners. Just like many of you, the majority of us have been Owners since mid to late 80s. Therefore, the Club Donatello is as special to all of us as it may be to you and for these reasons we make it a priority to listen to our Owners. For example, the recent renovations included plans to convert all bathtubs to walk in showers. Many of our Owners expressed their preference for bathtubs so we went back to the drawing board and retained the bathtubs on the 11th floor. If this is a preference of yours, please be sure let our Reservations Team know. In the early days of January 2019, after we began occupying the rooms, Owners frequently commented negatively on the size of the shower heads in the bathrooms. The Board agreed and the shower heads have been replaced with larger units. Q1 brought the resignation of 2 Directors and our FMC (Financial Management Committee) Chairman . The 2 vacant Director seats are up for election June 2019. In the meantime, the Board has appointed Erin Celli and Lexis Allen to fill these seats. Erin has been a volunteer for many years and Lexis has been both a volunteer and a Director of the CDOA. Lawrence Stephens is the new Chairman of the FMC. There will be a total of 3 Director seats up for election at this years Annual Owners Meeting. Please be sure to submit your votes! We’re always looking for new volunteer Owners to come aboard to share their knowledge and participate in the Club Donatello management as either a Committee Member or a Board Member. For any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at [email protected].

Now that dust has finally settled here at the Club Donatello we are happy to announce that we have officially completed our
2018 Renovations Project. With a few minor adjustments in the works, we are happy to share the final product. The 15-story
Donatello building is truly a “vertical neighborhood”. 2018 was our year to give our “neighborhood” much needed TLC. All
3 condominium associations and the restaurant have completed renovations. Ranked as a 4-star, Gold Crown Timeshare
Resort, 139 lodging units, a restaurant, a hotel and a garage, two outdoor patio areas and a beautiful cosmopolitan view, all
entities within the building work together seamlessly and as cost effectively as possible to truly provide a world-class boutique
hospitality environment.
As summer approaches, we are preparing for the Annual Owners Meeting
(AOM) to be held on Tuesday, June 4 in the 5th floor Terrace Room of the
Donatello. As an Owner, you should have already received the AOM package.
We need all Owners to VOTE! We encourage as many Owners as possible to
come to the AOM events on 6/3 and 6/4. There will be fun and informative
events, prizes to be won and complimentary wine and food. We hope to see you
all there!
As of January 1, 2019 our Owner Parking rate has increased from $28 to $35 per 24 hours. The Non Owners parking rate has
also increased from $35 to $42 +taxes. The oversize vehicle charge is still an additional $10. This parking rate is still a great
deal in comparison to our neighboring parking garages. Recently our Electric Car Charging Stations have begun operating and
are available at $4/hour. These charge stations are only available through Valet.
On behalf of the entire Club Donatello Team, we thank you all for your understanding and patience during the renovations
period and look forward to welcoming you to your new “Home Away from Home”.
General Manager,
Mandy Vergara

Within a short span of 3 months, Club Donatello has completed renovations for all 45 rooms. Your new Rooms await you, so contact our Reservations Team today to start planning your upcoming visits.
Club Donatello’s first quarter’s occupancy was 99.11% with a total revenue of $263,632.35 which exceeds budget by over $15K. The Owners & Exchangers occupancy was at 77.99%. The second quarter, projections show occupancy at 98.85%, with an expected revenue of $300K!
At this time most Owners are making reservations 3-4 months in advance and further in advance for weekends (Fridays & Sat-urdays). Due to a high volume of requests for weekend nights, we would like to remind our Owners of our Weekend Usage Policy. Our Weekend Policy states each week includes 5 weekdays (Sun, Mon, Tues, Weds, & Thurs) and 2 weekend nights (Fri & Sat). We are more than happy to add those in need of additional weekend nights to a Weekend Usage Waitlist. Our Reservations Team understands the need for Owners to plan so we have expedited the process and will contact the Weekend Waitlist if there is still availability 1-2 months prior to your requested dates.
To assist with your planning click here to see our Owners Calendar. The “Club Donatello Login” is available for all our Owners. Please visit our website at www.clubdonatello.org to access your accounts. If you need further assistance logging into your Owners’ account please contact us at [email protected] or call us at 1-800-258-2366. We are available from Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Management Team updates
We are back!
After a 3-Month Renovation Period, the
Operations Team is back! We’ve been
busy putting our newly renovated rooms
back to their highest standard of quality,
and have been working out the kinks that
we find along the way.
We Listen…
We’ve always encouraged our Owners and Guests to
continue to send your comments and creative suggestions
as we value your voices and opinions. A few of our
Owners expressed their concern of the height of night
stand tables and we listened. See before and after photos
below.
As you visit the newly renovated rooms and corridors,
please continue to share your feedback.
Operations Manager,

Since then, additional administrative and late fee charges have been added for Owners with balances remaining, and preparation for the first stage of the Lien and Foreclosure proceedings will begin.
The 2019 Annual Owners Meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. The Annual Owners Meeting Notice was mailed the first week of May 2019. Please look-out for your package and VOTE! Pacific Plaza Condominiums Association (PPCA) Update
HERE’S SOME MORE BEFORE & AFTER PICTURES…..so you be the judge when you come and visit your Club Donatello in the heart of Union Square.
These pictures show you only some of what our USBID Team Members (i.e., Block-By-Block, Neighborhood Streets Team, SFPD, DPW) do to try and maintain a CLEAN & SAFE environment in the 27-square blocks of our Union Square Business Improvement District.
Look at the BEFORE & AFTER pictures in the latest monthly USBID Operations Reports, and note that this happens every day in our neighborhood.
We receive graffiti removal within 24 hours, sidewalks and curbs swept clean 2x per day, sidewalk steam-cleaning every 2 weeks, and look at the sidewalk activity statistics from a recent Operations Report for January 2019.
More of our adjacent property owners, who are not currently in the USBID, see the difference and now more of them are asking to join the USBID as part of the 10-Year Renewal Project now underway for City & Property Owners voting approval.
Please remember to NOT give any donations to people on the streets. That is only feeding the problem and not the solutions. See the Union Square CARES flyer in your Club Room + take your Union Square MEMBER SERVICES card when you are in the Union Square area.
We are committed to having people experience Union Square
at its best, and not its worst.
Ten years has almost gone by since the beginning of our
expanded Union Square Business Improvement Dis-
trict……..and the Renewal Contract needs to be completed
with Property Owners voting and a City/County Board of
Supervisors vote early in 2019.
Check out the ANNUAL REPORT plus the weekly up-
dates on the USBID Website at

November 2018, the Camp Fire devastated the city of Paradise, CA and hit close to home for us as one of our Board of Directors was affected in a major way. Daryl & Jan Clark were traveling during the tragedy and returned to a home that was no longer familiar. In spite of the events the Clarks have recently relocated and have resigned as Board of Director and as Chairman of the FMC (Financial Management Committee). Daryl’s informal way of running meetings that always ended on time will forever be admired. Jan did a great job and provided a valuable perspective as our FMC Chairman. With hopes that the Clarks someday return as active volunteers, we will miss them dearly and wish them luck on their wonderful journey to create their new beginning.
We have also said goodbye to a long serving member of our CDOA Board of Directors. Dennis Myers, who has also relocated has resigned his position with the CDOA in February 2019 and we didn't want to let him go without acknowledging the valuable assistance he has provided to the organization over the last 10+ years. We will miss having his input at our meetings and hope that someday he can resume his volunteer activities with us. Until then, we wish the Myer’s family nothing but the best!
