Thank you!” Big ideas thank you’s Courtney O’Connell wishes to thank the following people for help and support on the Big Ideas Conference [Note there are so many, that we will put them in the next several issues]: Thanks to Neela Patel and her Livingston Student Center staff for a tremendous job managing the building and many of the room set up logistics. Thanks to Krista Kohlmann for providing vision and leadership over hospitality and the “Cool Curators” expo. Thanks to Kevin O’Connell, Ganesh Warren and Sandra Golis for creating and managing a signage plan, nametags and filming/taking photos of the event. Thanks to Sue McNeilly for providing the vision and leadership over conference volunteers. Thanks to Marques Johnson for researching and integrating a custom People Hunt mobile application for attendees to be able to connect at the conference. Thanks to Carey Loch for throwing a great party! She envisioned and implemented a casino themed social experience. There are many talented professionals working in Student Affairs at Rutgers, so we will be recognizing several people each week. Please consider thanking or recognizing someone in the next issue of the Communiqué. You can thank someone for a job well done on a specific project, for chairing a committee or organizing an event, or even a positive attitude. Please submit your Gratitude and Appreciation by emailing [email protected]. The mission of A Walk To Believe is to create awareness and to raise funds for the Eric LeGrand Believe Fund, a fund established to offer support and cover expenses for the injured Rutgers University football player Eric LeGrand and his family on his road to recovery. The second annual 5K A Walk To Believe will be held on Saturday, June 2nd at 10:00am at the High Point Solutions Stadium on Rutgers Busch Campus. Register on June 2nd for $25. Making Meetings More Effective (Wed May 30, 9:00-11:00am, ASB II, Community Room): This workshop helps participants identify specific meeting problems, develop meeting tools such as agendas and minute, and explore strategies for making meetings more useful and productive. Michael Tolbert, recipient of the 2012 Bridge Builder Award AnnMarie Burg, recipient of the 2012 Right Hand Woman Award Steffanie Gallante, recipient of the 2012 Tone of C Award Sarah Grun, recipient of the 2012 Grad Student of the Year Award Marques Johnson, recipient of the 2012 New Professional of the Year Award Mark Forest, recipient of the 2012 Innovation Award Health service has awarded the Roy Bowers Award for Exemplary Service to Mark Forest, Teresa Lord-Stout, and Phil Cohen.
