The concept is based on living a healthy

active liestyle. It combines an apple, an

iconic image o health, with a bicycle, theactive lie style. This is done in an abstract

way using Gestalt principles to create a

visual tug o war between the bike and theapple. The use o rounded edges on the logo

and logo type adds a riendly more invitingatmosphere or the identity o the bike

program.

The bikes will be stored in a low cost,

low maintenance racking system. Within

each racking system is a tree, not only oraesthetics, but to keep continuity with the

identity o the bike program and promote the

greener aspects o the community. Trees caneither be planted or preexisting. The biking

system would be based on the honor systemwith a time limit. The time limit acts as an

initiative to bring the bikes back to keep

them circulating.

Bikes will be located in a central locationdowntown. This will be an equal commute

or everyone exspecially those using

Sudbury Transit. The system is based oo a colour coded timing system to let the

participant know how ar away they are romthe central location. It is there as a reminder

o the time limit and as an initiative to bring

the bikes back to keep them in circulationor others to use.
