1. Are there any recent soil boring, soil contamination, and/or soil resistivity testing results which
may be made available?
a. Answer: SMLD will review its records for the following documents and provide PDF
copies of any that can be obtained to all bidders.
i. Substation Grounding Study
ii. Ground grid test results
iii. Soil resistivity test results
iv. Geotech report or soil borings at the substation
b. Answer: SMLD is not aware of any soil contaminations
2. Has the Battery Vendor been selected? If so, has a schedule been given for the Trade Prints as
well as long lead material delivery?
a. Answer: The battery vendor has not yet been selected. The RFP for the battery is in
development at this time. A delivery schedule for design drawings and major
components has not yet been established.
3. Are the current mylar prints marked up and redlined to reflect the current station wiring and
recent modifications?
a. Answer: No, the current mylar prints are not yet marked up for the known
undocumented modifications that have been specified in the RFP scope document.
4. Would it be possible to arrange for us to visit the substation to review the existing mylar prints
and any current Mark Ups?
a. Answer: Yes, SMLD will arrange for a group site visit date that will be open to all bidders
who have stated an intent to submit a proposal. SMLD will reach out with further
details when a date can be selected.
