Congratulations to the April Employee of the Month,
Jen Schield!
The following nomination was submitted on her behalf…
Submitted by: Kalynn & Mark LarsenMrs. Schield goes above and beyond her job description. She cares for all of her students and puts forth the effort to ensure positive communication between home and school. She makes sure all students’ needs are met. Her classroom management is outstanding. This was evident when I attended her Christmas party. She had a substitute teacher, however the students understood the respect they needed for the substitute and the procedures of the classroom. We are grateful our daughter has her and our hopeful our other two will have her as well. We appreciate all of her hard work and dedication to her students and Millstadt Consolidated Schools!
Millstadt Police Department Youth Academy will be heldthe week of July 15th. The program is for ages 9-12. Applications will be available starting Tuesday June4th, at the police department and village hall. This programfills up typically within 24 hours, so act fast!

Please encourage your child to be aware of the importance of respecting the landscaping
on our school campus by putting paper and snack wrappers in trash cans so our school
grounds remain beautiful.
In honor of Earth Day 2019, we are planning a district-wide Earth Day Planting Day on Friday, May 3rd.
Students will have an opportunity to fill
landscaping barrels with flowers throughout the
campus. They will continue to care for the plants until the end of the school year.
Plants, soil and landscaping materials will be purchased from our recent fundraising
project. We raised over $2000.00
Thank you to everyone involved in the project!
The winning classrooms for the Earth Day Project this
year were:
Mrs. Jacob’s 1st Grade and
Mrs. Voss‘s 4th Grade
These students will receive an ice cream sundae party from Happy Days in the
Millstadt City Park.
Happy Earth Day
