Specifically, which principle(s) in the Code of Ethics applies (or apply) to the issue raised? Step 2: Interpret Information 1. How can the preceptor and faculty coordinator help the student recognize that she is violating the Code? 2. Brainstorm characteristics of individuals that can contribute to personal biases and affect decision making and actions. Step 3: Draw and Implement Conclusions 1. To ensure that this is a learning experience for the student, she is asked to communicate her understanding of the ethical issue to her peers. Indicate one way she could do this as part of the practicum class. Step 4: Engage in Continuous Improvement 1. From a student perspective, suggest one or two strategies that will help the student and her peers in the practicum class to reflect on the values and ethical principles supported by the ADA Code of Ethics.
