WHAT IS A COMMUNITY SCHOOL
A community school is a place and a network of partnerships between the school and the community that help children learn, families succeed, neighborhoods engage and communities thrive.
With support and resources from the community, community schools care for the whole child – academically, emotionally, physically and socially.

HOW COMMUNITY SCHOOLS DIFFER
Community schools take a “whole child” approach to education, addressing any barriers that may affect a child’s ability to learn. This means there is intention behind every partnership, program and service to ensure no child is overlooked.
