Do you know someone who might like to be profiled? Contact us! What do you do for residents? I plan programming for ages 12 and up, including after-hours escape rooms, our annual college fair, crafting and technology one-on-ones. I also assist in managing the collections, including helping to choose new items for the library to purchase and keeping the teen and adult collections looking new and refreshed. What do you love about your job? In my over 20 years of experience, I’ve never worked in a city where the community has shown so much ownership and pride in their library. And, the staff are some of the most inclusive, fun and engaging people I have ever had the pleasure to work with. Which core value is most meaningful to you? Learning. The world is constantly changing, and we must always learn and adapt to that. Additionally, my entire career is based on helping those around me learn new facts, skills and information to help them enrich their own lives. How do you spend your spare time? I spend as much time with my two young daughters as I can. We enjoy camping, hiking, biking, swimming, reading and traveling. What is your favorite quote? “Around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” - Walt Disney Random fact about you? I am a die-hard New Orleans Saints fan. I even gave my second daughter the nickname “Bree,” after the quarterback Drew Brees.
