Cut and paste the pictures in order. Using the pictures retell the story to your favourite teddy.

PHONICS Choose a letter and design a party with things that begin with that letter. (i.e. R – Rainbow rice, raspberries, river, robots, rabbits). Draw a picture of your party. Can you label your pictures?

Am I happy with the plan?

Does my plan work? Test it! What changes can I make to my plan? Have these changes improved the outcome? What would I do the same/ differently next time?

Wednesday READING The jet is big and red. Use the sounds (stretch out the word and blend them together) to read this sentence. After reading, cut up the sentence into words and try to put it back together. WRITING The jet is big and red. Copy the sentence, remember to use spaces! Draw a picture to match.

SPELLING

Use your alphabet letters to make these sight words - here, the, look, see, can, my. Or use your own sight words if you have them.

Thursday READING Read a book with a parent/carer. Retell what

happened in the beginning, middle and end of

the story.

WRITING Write a recount of something you done this week (I went to the beach). Focus on leaving a finger space between your words. Take a photo of your writing and send it to your teacher. SPELLING Sing the SoundWaves chants to your family. Play I-Spy with a member of your family.

Some things take a long time and some things take a short time. Can you think of something that takes a long time, like building a house? Can you think of something that takes a short time, like blinking?

Have some challenges with some members of your family – who can balance on one foot for the longest? Who can stare without blinking for the longest time? Who can do the longest handstand?

Week 5

Throw Tennis

Create a small court either indoors or outdoors with a “net” in the middle. Players must

underarm throw the ball to land in the court on the opponent’s side of the net. The other player must catch the ball after one bounce and return

the ball from where they caught it.

The aim is to win the point by making your opponent miss the catch. You will also win the

point if your opponent throws the ball out or into the net.

Basketball Shootout

Set up a hoop (bucket, basket or empty bin) either

indoors or outdoors and make a large sock ball.
